Risen 3 Titan Lords Factions
Each of the three factions has three ranks, for which the hero is given the opportunity to wear a more powerful set of armor. The first two ranks are obtained by completing certain tasks, while the third hero will receive at the beginning of the fourth chapter.
Demon Hunters
The dark warriors of Kalador, who set themselves the goal of destroying demons and any undead. Since ancient times, there have been several clans of Hunters, so most often this title is inherited. They live in the dilapidated Citadel on Kalador. Use runic magic. The leader is a former druid Eldrik, our friend from the previous parts. Ranks: Scout, Demon Hunter, Dark Warrior.
Guardians
Warriors who accompany mages on their expedition to Taranis. They live in the northeast of the island. Especially for this, 3 mines were organized. Crystal magic has the richest set of offensive magic, while rune magic is dominated by character support spells. Voodoo magic is mainly specialized in cursing and weakening the opponent. Each type of magic has at least one melee spell, telekinesis, and a spell to heal the character.

Risen 3 Titan Lords How to kill a sea monster

Bons before going to sea will always warn you about the attack of the monster, there are three of them in the game. The first weakest you can deal with is the scope (RMB), shoot at a distance from the monster. The second monster is a little more difficult than the first, in order to defeat it you need to use a volley of onboard guns, the "Q" key on the left, the "E" key, respectively, on the right. The third monster is the most difficult in the game, if I may say the most difficult boss. You should spin as little as possible, swim forward and 90% of it will float in front of you. Do a volley with onboard guns before the monster tries to dive, it gets out of the water as much as possible, this will cause the most serious damage if you aim correctly, never quit the fight, even if you have little life left. Stay away from rocks, if you collide with rocks in the sea, you will also take damage.

Risen 3 Titan Lords How to kill a Titan
Using a spell that he could only get from Necrolot, Horace summoned the stone titan. I must defeat him. Pick up the shackles and throw them at the arms or legs of the Titan, in special zones on the Titan when these zones increase, as shown in the video. In order to throw the shackles, take a look at the RMB, then throw the LMK. You will need 5 sets of shackles to chain an Ore Titan.

The Piranha Bytes have provided the official description for the Demon Hunter faction. Translation made by Buka

Forgotten by the gods and full of dangers, the world of Risen 3 is teetering on the brink of death. An unknown threat loomed over the peoples inhabiting it, emerging from the darkness. The Dark Knights are once again gathering forces, guided by ancient covenants and armed with the finest weapons and armor humanity has to offer. They are demon hunters, once an elite and privileged cult now forgotten for centuries.

Faction Description: Demon Hunters

Faction Description: Demon Hunters

The Hunters first appeared in Calador, a rugged northwest coast with long and strong traditions. In the past, rich iron deposits and the highest level of blacksmiths made it possible to erect a majestic fortress and bring civilization to the peak of its development. Since ancient times, the citadel has served as a symbol of enlightenment, and even now, the dilapidated black and gold bastions still give a sense of security.

Faction Description: Demon Hunters

With the release of the third part of Risen, the authors from Piranha Bytes tried to return to the times when the grass was greener, the sky was brighter, and in general, everything was slightly different. However, going back to the past, one should not forget about the present. This became the main problem of the game.

Yes, yes, you heard right. The game has problems and quite a few of them. The first thing I want to note is the complete lack of depth and motivation in everything that happens.
As in Gothic, the player is offered to join one of three key fractions. These factions were Demon Hunters(analogue of dragon hunters from Gothic 2), Guardians(essentially paladins from the same second Gothic or warriors of the Inquisition from Risen 1) and Voodoo Pirates... who (lo and behold) are a hybrid of the main class of Risen 2 and Natives.

Here the first pitfalls appear. All factions are presented as something opposite, have hallmarks and, it would seem, even feud with each other. In fact, the player is waiting for only the difference appearance head of the protagonist.

Hunters are shaved bald, their face turns pale, the outlines of veins appear. The guards are tightly glued to the eyepiece, just like the Inquisitor Mendoza from Risen 1, and the Voodoo Pirate is covered with tattoos. This is where all the differences end.

Each class has its own set of magic (largely identical) and certain armor, which is not really needed in the game. Sure, Demon Hunters get a teleport ability that replaces the roll, but it doesn't really change anything. The whole difference in magic comes down to the fact that some use runes, others use voodoo dolls, others use something else. In fact, all factions have helper creature summons, knockback wave, and healing. And stocking up on scrolls, the difference can be reduced to zero.

Along with the faction, the ship on which the player will sail also changes. Well, how it changes ... lights of a different color, but the nose is slightly changed.

However, the main problem is not the similarity of the factions, but the almost complete absence of their history. Who are these Demon Hunters? Where were they for ten years while the Titans destroyed the world? The answers are only superficial and no depth can even be expected.

Rare books that reveal the history of certain locations do not help much. We have beautiful landscapes: islands, pieces of the mainland. But this is nothing more than scenery, as if created by an aspiring science fiction writer who has not yet managed to realize the significance of details and features of depth.

Actually, the same can be said about the entire plot of Risen 3, about its quests, its characters. Even the Titans have disappeared somewhere to give way to the less frightening Shadows, reminiscent of the pestilence from any fantasy universe. The reason for changing the Main Character is again devoid of motivation. What prevented you from taking a character from the first parts and weakening him in the same way at the beginning? Then the meeting with Patty would have been much more romantic and tragic. Imagine: you are sailing to your beloved, and she is somersaulting with pirates ... There will be no such effect with your brother. And Patty herself gives the impression of a port whore, dressed as if for an elite client with a pirate fetish.

The story itself is full of logical holes and looks (and is) a typical salvation of the world from another evil, a person who does not care about this world ( by the way, a quote from the release trailer). The main character is dragged around the world like a messenger and forced to carry out small assignments, shaking in front of his nose with the opportunity to return his lost soul. It's amazing how much unnecessary and unrelated to history the hero manages to go through.

And the quests themselves are full of references to the Gothic series, to the previous parts of Risen. The authors got to the point that they did not bother to change the models of some NPCs, simply transferring them from Risen 2 to the third part. Heaps of tasks brazenly quote Gothic, trying to give out a nostalgic fan tear. But in fact, the search for Goblin thieves and the receipt of reports from the mines indicates the creative impotence of the writers, who stuffed everything they could just to attract old players.

Partly it worked out. And the atmosphere of Gothic is especially felt on Calador and Taranis, but as soon as we go to the tropics, we get into frank clowning. The already caricatured pirates by the third part began to look like an amateur circle of the third grade of a provincial school. All these " Arrr», « Thousand devils!» against the background of serious Hunters and Guardians, they look like a mockery. What can we say about the excessive brightness of the jungle and the abundance of details from which it hurts the eyes. Overcome, there is nothing to say.

However, it is worth paying tribute to the designers. Perhaps they did the biggest and most high-quality work in the entire Risen series. The game world is interesting to explore, some locations are mesmerizing, and many effects (like butterflies and seeds circling in the air) make you take screenshots again and again. It is sad that in static the picture looks much worse.

Of course, the quests aren't terrible either. The game has a minimum number of tasks "collect 10 herbs", or "kill 5 boars". There are very funny and fascinating stories, the roots of which stretch not only to Gothic but also to other projects of the RPG genre. You just feel a certain bust and already after ten hours you feel that you are fed up. I want to turn off the game, take a break for a couple of days and return to the world of Risen with a fresh, not tired look.

The same applies to the combat system, as well as everything connected with it. There are a lot of monsters in the game, they are all really different, but pretty quickly main character turns into a killing machine and simply begins to shred all living things (and at first, the battles are a kolobok simulator). It quickly tires, therefore it also requires constant breaks.

Speaking of monsters. For two dozen hours, the thought never left me: why are there almost all the opponents from Risen 2 in the game, but none from Risen 1 was brought in? Surely with the departure of Ralph (designer) the rights to Grave Moths, Mglors, traditional Ogres were also lost?

I would like to see the same Vultures, Thunder Lizards, or at least ordinary Wolves! Yes, and Lizard People would be great to dilute the hordes of shadows. Only a couple of models ... but no! We were given only an eyepiece da Mendoza.

Why am I... From the above it does not follow that the game is bad. Not at all, it is interesting and addictive, but as it is customary to write in recent times, does not pay attention to flaws while you are in the process. The problem of the game is not in its quality, not in terrible filters that light up the entire screen in shadow locations. Not even in the animation curve, which the developers deliberately shove into the frame every cut-scene. The problem is that it was supposed to come out five years ago. Then there was the time of Risen 3. If the first Risen had been like that, it would have been a masterpiece. Work on the bugs is done, but too late.

The best part of this small and uneven series? Perhaps! Masterpiece? Not at all. The usual attempt by a small studio to stay afloat. What an irony - a little more and their raft will sink and the piranhas of the gaming industry will devour the Piranhas. It's a pity.

You want to hear the review of Risen 3: Titan Lords… Yes Captain… Are you sure you want to?… Come on now *P*

Already ready and available for use

And so we begin our story with the son of Steelbeard (who remembers it was with his sister and daddy that we played tricks well in the second part). almost ready, it remains to polish the details and add pictures. He couldn’t sit still with his sister and wanted to find adventure on his soft tissues. They found a fabulous cave, and in it a portal, and in the portal a terrible monster, and their own death. In general, I chopped the young fellow into cabbage. Here is a video from the scene

Here the fairy tale seems to end, but a "good wizard" of a homeless appearance arrives and resurrects the boy, along the way explaining the situation in the world on his fingers. What did they find portals in other world, and Lyulei got the lord himself, and indeed the world is on the verge of fucking ...

Graphic arts

It's just great ... so for 2010, and what do you actually want the engine is the same, but only combed according to new standards, so very modest. I don’t want to say that the graphon sucks - it’s very good, but it can’t surprise with ultra-realistic water or rain. However, the Goto-Rizon series does not take them, but with a chic thoughtful world and interesting history, here shish.

gameplay

Do you remember the worlds of Gothic 1-2, how pleasant and interesting his explorer was, here you will find unique caves with monsters and abandoned castles with looted caravans and villages. The developers, as promised, greatly enlarged the world, even by the standards of the second Risen 2. It seems like it was great, but this had a strong effect on the quality. Yes, the key locations are somewhat worked out, but everything else. One gets the impression that Oblivion inspired them here - long, monotonous and formulaic. My other disappointment is the gothic nature of the game. She is not. Where do I ask gloomy locations and dark caves? Or at least heavy steel armor with brutal medieval weapons? Is it the same as the first part?

Combat system

Here I was pleased. Well, as pleased - nothing much has changed. The enemy simply does not call out - there is a simple and enhanced blow and block. If you pump, a feint will appear that allows you to dodge and cause a lot of damage, small combos and various tricky dodges will also appear, which, in my opinion, took away all the most interesting from everything familiar. I was talking about edged weapons, here it is represented mainly by swords.

With magic, too, it seems like a classic situation, there are scrolls, but there are runes. Here you have various fireballs and amplifications, and how can you call a golem without it). But magic is more dependent on the choice of faction.

Crossbow - that's where they pleased so pleased. With this weapon, you can say they opened the stealth mode. Here and pumping damage from a hidden attack and for hitting the head and approaching with almost no optical guidance, and even a time dilation mode. Basically everything I love.

The musket is a boring but powerful weapon. In theory, it seems like an alternative to a crossbow, but in practice it’s just a fool with great and even then not always damage for long-range combat.

Factions

They are always 3

Mages are champions of goodness and light and want to f**** punish bad bad guys. These are mostly seasoned spellcasters with a powerful line of offensive spells. If you like to incinerate enemies with chain lightning and sow terror with machine-gun bursts of fireballs, then the Order of Mages is what you need. There is no mana as such, but there is a respawn of spells, so it has become more interesting to play as a mage. They are the easiest to join and one can say from the very beginning you are pushed into their tender embrace.

Voodoo shamans are homeless-looking guys with a strong focus on weakening the enemy, and there are also transformations in their arsenal. In general, those werewolves in uniform. As is clear from the description, edged weapons are also not their forte.

Demon hunters - they are bad guys in the eyes of magicians and just going along an alternative path for the main character. So I would call them handsome, various attack amplifications and buffs + the summoning of various monsters, make this faction a kind of melee witchers-slayers, where are these squishy magicians.

Also in the game there is also a quality of combat skills, ranging from cool feints with a sword and ending with one-shots from an arquebus. Plus, there are a bunch of different thieving skills and ways to craft useful inventory. But all this in the following reviews of the game.

Conclusion

What can I say, the game disappointed, no, not because of the graphics or the plot or the gameplay, everything here is high level, it’s just that for me Gothic was and is the most favorite game, but here, no matter how hard the authors of its spirit tried, there is little left. And if, in fact, then Risen 3: Titan Lords is the best RPG of this year, of course, in my subjective opinion.
