In the window that opens, click "Change adapter settings" in the left column.
In the window that opens, right-click on the Ethernet connection icon and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. The settings menu will open, in which you will need to select the item "IP version 4 (TCP / IPv4)".
In the settings window that opens, enter the following parameters:
- IP address - 168.0.1;
- Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0;
- Default gateway - IP version 4 (TCP/IPv4);
Other players should do the same. Their IP address must be in the format 192.168.0.X, where X is any number between 2 and 255.
When connecting to a Wi-Fi network, it is better not to set the IP address manually, but look through the console. To do this, you need to perform the following actions:
- Press Windows+R on your keyboard.
- In the window that opens, enter cmd
- A command prompt will appear in which you need to enter the ipconfig command.
A list of parameters will appear in which you will need to find a block with a description of the adapter wireless network. Rewrite it to IP version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
Knowing your IP address on the local network, you can start creating open world. To get started, create a standard Minecraft game. After that, press Esc and select "Open for web".
This will allow other players to join you on the map. In the lower left part of the screen, the inscription "Port of the local server XXXXX" will appear, where instead of x's there will be a random number. Write it down and tell other players.
To join your world, other members must complete the following steps:
- Select the "Multiplayer" item in the main menu;
- Press the "At address" button;
- In the window that opens, enter your IP and port number separated by a colon. For example, 192.168.0.1:56234.
Co-op Minecraft via Hamachi
The Hamachi application allows you to create a virtual local area network with users anywhere in the world. Therefore, a joint game in Minecraft using this program will be almost the same as in a regular LAN.
The main differences are the need to install Hamachi for all players and registration in the system. It's very easy to do, just download the free app and follow the instructions. After installation, you will need to create a network by coming up with a unique name and password for it.
After creating a network, up to 5 people can connect to it (in the free version). To do this, you need to tell them the name and password of the network.
As with the standard LAN game described in the previous section, you need to create a world in Minecraft and make it open. When creating, you will find out the port number that will need to be matched with the IP from Hamachi. You can get an IP by right-clicking on it in the application window.
As a result, you will get something like this server address: 25.67.216.179:12345. Your friends should enter it by going to the "Multiplayer Game" section and clicking the "At Address" button.
