It was only in 1994 that it was invented by students in the USA. And Russians were able to use the Internet only at the beginning of the new millennium. On social networks you can learn about the artist’s biography and listen to songs performed by him.

Zhenya Belousov was born on September 10, 1964 in the village of Zhikhar, Kharkov region, in Ukraine. On this day, two twin boys were born: Zhenya and Sasha.

Since the father of the future artist was a military man, the family had to move to Kursk when the boys were only two months old.

From an early age, Evgeniy was interested in creativity. The boy studied in school No. 44 for the first three grades, and after that he was transferred to mathematics school No. 6.

At school, Belousov was restless, and his studies suffered because of this. At the age of 10, he was hit by a car and Zhenya received a serious head injury. After which he suffered from headaches and migraines all his life.

In high school, he got involved with bad company, constantly behaved like a hooligan and was registered with the police. During this period of his life, his father sends Zhenya to a music school to study accordion in order to somehow distract his son and direct his life in the right direction.

It was after this that Zhenya Belousov caught fire with music. He played the guitar in the school ensemble and often defended the honor of the school at concerts. But to become an artist, you had to go further.

At that moment, a set of instruments and musical equipment was purchased for vocational school No. 1. It would seem nonsense, but this was precisely the main argument for Belousov’s transfer to a vocational technical school, which he successfully graduated with a degree in repairman.

He also studied bass guitar at the Kursk Music College, but did not graduate. At the same time, my first part-time job appeared - performing in a Kursk restaurant with my band.

Since the guys in the group were all of military age, half of them were drafted into the army, and Zhenya was released due to a severe concussion suffered in childhood.

In 1984, the first serious step towards a professional career as an artist was taken. Evgeniy Belousov was noticed by Bari Alibasov, the leader of the popular ensemble “Integral” at that time. He invited the guy to be a bass guitarist and vocalist in Moscow.

After three years of touring, Belousov began his solo career. Lyubov Voropaeva helped him with this, who agreed with her husband to hold the young star.

He came out to the masses as a solo artist on the program “Morning Mail” with S. Shustitsky’s song “Distant Continents”, after which there was the song “Alushta” in the New Year’s episode “Wider Circle”.

But Zhenya Belousov woke up truly famous when the song “My Blue-Eyed Girl” was released. It was an absolute hit. The performances went one after another, and this despite the fact that the repertoire at that time included less than five songs.

Then, one after another, two videos were released for the songs “My Blue-Eyed Girl” and “Night Taxi”. Evgeniy performed with the last song at the Song of the Year.

Real popularity weighed heavily on Zhenya and the first signs of a breakdown began to appear. Blood pressure and headaches were relieved by alcohol. For this reason, I had to change the producer. In 1991, Viktor Dorokhin handed the guy over to composer Igor Matvienko.

The second stage of popularity happened immediately when the hit “Girl-Girl” was released in 1991. The song literally sounded on every corner and was performed by guys with a guitar in the evening courtyards.

In 1992, 14 solo concerts were held at the Small Luzhniki Sports Arena in Moscow. The organizer was Yuri Aizenshpis.

In 1993, a full-fledged solo album “Girl-Girl” was released with hits:

  • Night taxi
  • Alyoshka
  • Evening-evening
  • Cloud of hair
  • Golden domes
  • Short summer
  • Dunya-Dunyasha
  • In the evening on a bench.

Then it becomes clear that Zhenya begins to be burdened by popularity and concert activities. He begins to look for himself in other directions, even tries to do business.

At that time, almost everything was sold. Belousov decided to play big and acquired a stake in the alcohol business.

It’s true that entrepreneurship didn’t work out. I had to say goodbye to the Ryazan Distillery, having in addition received debts and accusations of tax fraud.

And in concert activity, not everything was smooth. There were fewer concerts and invitations to filming. A new hit was needed, which could not be found.

On the threshold of her thirtieth birthday, Zhenya Belousov began a midlife crisis, standard for this period. Unsuccessful steps in business, lack of new hits and chaos in the country were superimposed on another.

In 1996, a new album, “And Again About Love,” was released. The songwriters on it are mainly V. Bashenev and Zhenya himself. True, not a single song in their new collection becomes as big a hit as “My Blue-Eyed Girl” and “Girl-Girl.”

In March 1997, Evgeny Belousov was admitted to the Sklifosovsky Institute with an attack of acute pancreatitis. The disease was cured, but it gave complications to the weakened body and a stroke occurred.

At the end of April, doctors performed a complex brain operation, after which the artist was in a coma for another month.

On the night of June 1-2, 1997, Evgeniy passed away. The cause of Belousov's death was a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was buried at the Kuntsevo cemetery in Moscow. Alexander Lyubimov and Ivan Demidov helped Belousov’s relatives erect a monument.
