The father of four sisters was completely confused, he could not understand that his wife had died so unexpectedly. Nadezhda Nikitichna recalled this moment:

Another detail of that tragic day: sister Lyuba was carrying water home in two buckets, and when she heard about the death of her mother, she dropped the buckets and fell unconscious herself. Who will now look after the house, cook food, raise daughters? Nadia was only ten years old when her father brought a new wife into the house.

And who said that she was going to sit on her sister's neck? Nadezhda worked hard: her shift began at five in the morning, then she was on her feet for eight hours with a short break for lunch. And sing horror as you wanted! A spool of thread is used instead of a microphone, the spectators are shop workers, and now a folk song is spreading throughout the factory! A year later, when the girl arrived in Lobnya, her father died ... Classes at the preparatory courses were not in vain: Nadia performs “Give me a scarf” at the exam, and she is accepted into the school. First, the folk song ensemble at the factory, and then - an invitation to the "Rossiyanochka", Nadezhda was already in her third year at the school. Then Kadysheva lived in the Gnesinki hostel, and there she first saw her future husband, Sasha Kostyuk. Having fallen in love with a young man at first sight, she decides to go to this university to study in order to always be with him.

It seemed to her that Alexander was completely indifferent to her: for four whole years she “dried without an answer” (her words), and suddenly, immediately after the final exams, he proposes to her! After that, Alexander took the girl home to introduce the young daughter-in-law to her relatives. Kostyuk's parents did not express much joy, and Alexander desperately asks Nadya: "Sing something as you can." Nadezhda begins to sing, and the future father-in-law with her mother-in-law in her eyes has tears, so sincerely she sang a folk song. Immediately, the parents blessed their son for marriage.

Meanwhile, the “family curse” is again knocking on the Kadyshev family. Who would have thought that Lyuba's sister, happily married and expecting her first child, would soon be gone? In the maternity hospital, the young mother caught an infection, and the baby, as it turned out, had a heart defect: Lyuba recovered, but her son, having lived only a year, died. Nadya's sister threw herself out of the window with grief, broke her spine, never recovered from the injury and died.

Alexander Kostyuk already understood then: he had to rely on his wife's talent, and he organized his own group, calling it the Golden Ring. He not only decided to revive the folk song, but also to use old, no longer popular instruments in performances. But no matter how well the young soloist sang, no matter how original the arrangement was, the new ensemble was not particularly popular with cultural officials. To say more: Kostyuk was hinted that the “pseudo-folk” style was not in the spirit of the time, it would be better to sing something patriotic, standard.

The path to success abroad, then in the home country

So in 1998 (the year the Golden Ring was created), Nadezhda Kadysheva began touring abroad: her husband decided to show the repertoire in Germany, then in Japan, and there the ensemble immediately gained incredible popularity! Surprisingly: in the USSR (then) they “twisted their noses” at the words “folk ensemble”, and in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, the audience beat off their palms, arranging a standing ovation for the Golden Ring and Kadysheva. Moreover, the songs and music were insanely liked not only by emigrants, but also by the indigenous people.

Kadysheva was applauded by Bolivia, Japan, China, the USA, and her native country learned about her talent ... from the disks that diplomats and tourists brought from these countries. For five whole years, the Golden Ring toured the world, until they realized in Russia: why don't we listen to them? In 1993, the Soyuz company graciously (you can’t say otherwise) signed a contract with the group, the first disc “Am I to blame” is released. Despite the fact that the record was instantly sold out, critics tried to lower the rating of the singer and the ensemble: “This is not a folk style at all, but a pseudo-folk style. Musicians arbitrarily remake songs, allow arrangements that are different from the original. And what Kostyuk writes is generally a fake, ”they wrote in the newspapers.

My God, what difference does it make what some write - the viewer understands whether it is “pseudo” or real! Tickets for concerts are in great demand, and the new disc Flowing a Stream has been in the top in sales for three whole years. The song of the same name from the disc became a popular hit (here is proof from the opposite about "pseudo-nationality"). Well-deserved awards followed: the titles of People's Artist of Mordovia and Russia, Honored Artist of Tatarstan. Most of the songs of the Golden Ring group, specifically the music, were written by Alexander Kostyuk himself. Not a single festive concert of the Russian stage for the last twenty years has been complete without the participation of the ensemble and Kadysheva. Health problems

Nervous diseases, as psychiatrists now know, can also be inherited. Anna Kadysheva, Nadezhda's mother, suddenly died from "spleen", that is, from neurosis and depression. Sister Lyuba, too, because of this, could not bear the death of her little son, but our artist had a successful life, what does the “birth curse” have to do with it?

At twenty-five, when everything seemed to be fine: success on stage, loving husband, prosperity appeared - mood swings began, black depression piled up. Hands dropped, I didn’t want to sing, even on stage my legs refused to go. Doctors shrugged: Kadysheva is absolutely healthy! Antidepressants and sedatives were prescribed, but they did little to help, and Kalysheva began to drink handfuls of them. Passion for medicines gave the opposite result: the mood deteriorated even more, I wanted to give up on everything. At that time, the singer began to wear kokoshniks, which fans perceived as a new "trick" of style. But in fact, she didn’t even want to comb her hair, so she hid her hair under a headdress. Because of the cursed drugs, the metabolism was disturbed, the singer recovered by as much as thirty kilos.

Two things saved me: music and the support of my beloved husband. It was necessary to make an effort and go on stage, start singing, and depression, while the song was being sung, receded. And at home, Alexander persuaded her to give up medicines: together they decided that Nadia drinks one tablet less every day. “I put one thing away from the slide, threw it away, but sometimes I broke down and climbed into the trash can after it!” - Kadysheva later recalled. The most difficult thing was, according to her, to refuse the last pill - she did not let go for a very long time.

During a tour in the United States, Nadezhda suddenly became ill, she was taken to a clinic before the concert, where doctors say a terrible thing: “Most likely you have cancer,” Kadysheva was thirty years old. Already at home, she goes to the examination, she is tested, the diagnosis is confirmed. Doctors warn: the disease is very advanced, the bill goes not for months, but for days, an operation is urgently needed. What it was: the mistake of the doctors, the last attempt of the "birth curse" to bring the woman to the grave - is not known, but during the operation it turned out that there was no tumor.

To help his wife recover from depression and forget the horror of the threat of cancer, husband Alexander rents a former cinema on the outskirts of Moscow. He decided: he would do everything to make his beloved wife calm and cheerful again. There was not much money for the arrangement then, and he brings home furniture from their apartment. “I almost took everything out there,” his wife laughs, recalling that period. The neglected premises have turned into a modern theater with a cozy hall and excellent acoustics, where the ensemble of the spouses and famous Russian performers perform.

At forty-nine, the artist again found herself on the verge of life and death, overcame tachycardia. This time, the doctors were on top and saved the national favorite. From that moment on, the “birth curse” does not make itself felt anymore, illnesses, even the most trifling ones, do not torment. The singer said: “Now I am sure that there is no karma or curse, I have overcome this milestone and will live long.”

About personal life

Marriage proposal from Alexander Kostyuk after only four years of dating - it was not without reason! He himself explains it this way:

“I also fell in love with Nadia right away, and I saw that she was not indifferent to me. But in my homeland (I’m from Ukraine) it’s customary: first learn, get on your feet, have a penny for your soul to support your family, and then get married.”

At first they rented a small apartment, and somehow they didn’t want more: they were constantly at concerts, then the tour began. And suddenly Nadezhda finds out that she is pregnant! Why a child, he will interfere with his career, for sure, and her husband will be against it now - she thought so and decided to get rid of the pregnancy. “I already bought a dressing gown, signed up for an abortion, and then Sasha calls (he was away). I tell him: I have already decided, do we need a child? – said the artist later. There is a moment's silence in the receiver, and then the husband's voice: “God forbid you do this, you will never see me next to you!”

So their son Grisha was born (a miraculous event protected the baby). But the tour was not expected, and his parents sent him to his grandparents, Kostyuk's parents. Nadezhda was terribly worried: she cried because she could not often see her son, and when she came to visit, she hugged and said: “To hell with the stage, songs, I’ll stay with you!” A small, but already smart beyond his years, kid answered: “Mom, what are you, sing! Don't worry, you have to sing."

It was unrealistically difficult for a family of provincials (even world-famous ones) to get an apartment, and even more so a Moscow residence permit. Kadysheva and Kostyuk were saved by the legendary Helena Velikanova, who “kicked open the door to the ministers” in those days. At some important government meeting, she stood up: “Now I will ask, no, I will demand that the issue of Nadezhda Kadysheva be resolved! And you need to talk about her only standing up - she does so much for the country. That's how Nadezhda and Alexander got a two-room apartment.

Finally, the opportunity arose to bring his son Grisha from Melitopol to Moscow, to send him to the capital's school. At first, it was hard for the boy: in Ukraine, he did not study in Russian, and the load at the Moscow school was greater. The son grew up, he already wanted independence, but Nadia and Alexander kept him in “hedgehog gloves” for a long time: they demanded that he return home at exactly 11, so that he would always tell where he was and what he was doing. Grigory was indignant and told his mother: “Look at yourself - from the age of 14 you live alone and have not disappeared, I can do it too.” And then the time came for him to marry - he brought his chosen one to the bride to the bate (that's how Grigory calls dad) and mom. “The daughter-in-law liked it, well, she said - with God! Nadezhda Nikitichna, your marriage to Alexander Kostyuk is over forty years old. What is the secret of such a strong relationship?

- There is no secret. After all, to love is not just to look at each other, but also to look in one direction, in one direction. Many are surprised: how have you been together for so long? Why be surprised! We have love (which is the most important thing), we have a wonderful son (the fruit of our love) and the Golden Ring ensemble. My husband Alexander Kostyuk, in addition to being an insanely talented composer, businessman, is also a real man, friend, support ... In a relationship, the most important thing is to feel each other. Without words, understand the state of the second half and always find an approach.

- But what about the life on which the boat of love breaks? You don't get bored with each other? On stage together, at home together...

- Yes you! We don't go a day without each other! A maximum of a few hours when Sasha leaves for the theater for work. It doesn’t happen that we go on vacation separately or ignore each other’s problems ... I really love my husband immensely, and over the years it doesn’t go away ... He is a workaholic, talented, devoted, understanding, sympathetic, kind, loving - I can list endlessly ... .

- After all, it was your spouse who helped you cope with the depression in which you were when the doctors suspected oncology?

- I am immensely grateful to my beloved husband for this! He is for me both a loved one, and a friend, and a psychologist .... We went through everything together! It was a very difficult situation ... As Sasha helped me then, no one could help me. But you know, after it got better, I decided not to tell people about my depression anymore. Anyway, I can’t give any advice, it won’t be useful to other people. You can't escape fate! But sometimes you can try to turn it in the direction that is closer and more necessary to you. Fortunately, I managed to do it. With the help of my husband, who believed in me and constantly told me: “We can do it! I will love you any!

- Now you have new life?

- I gave up the habit of being discouraged, talking about bad things, not believing in myself ... The only thing that can have a bad effect on me is gloomy weather. But all the same, with such a husband and son as mine, one does not have to lose heart. Yes, and there is no time for that. You know, I realized that a bad mood is largely the cause of idleness. And I have no free time at all.

- Many artists are superstitious. Are you afraid of the envy of ill-wishers? How do you protect yourself from this?

- Yes, when you get to know a person, initially everyone seems positive. And later you find out that he, unfortunately, is not who he claims to be. It is impossible to protect yourself from such people! Until you try, you won't know. So I do not know any way to protect against the evil eye, except to leave communication as soon as you feel discomfort and understand that they do not wish you well. It is better not to deal with such people!

– What does your son Gregory do? Does he have a family? Does he plan to give you grandchildren?

– Grisha works with us as a concert director. He organizes concerts, tours. Alexander and I do not interfere in his personal life. When he matures, he will tell us everything himself. But sometimes he consults with us, sometimes he even shows his girls. He cares about our opinion.

- So you give your son advice in love affairs?

- Oh, you know, now the system of courtship is so different from the time of my turbulent youth that I simply do not dare to give advice! But as a mother, I feel my son well and understand right away what he wants to hear from me in this moment. I support him in everything. He never upsets me.

- Many women, especially actresses, are afraid that children will make them grandmothers ... How would you react to the appearance of grandchildren?

- I think it's great! Everything has its time. In fact, the artists are afraid of only one thing: to hear the word "grandmother" and instantly "get old", realizing that youth has passed. But it's not. I believe that expanding the family through the birth of children is happiness. There are people who are notorious about this issue and are afraid of it. Personally, my husband and I will be happy when Gregory finds that one and they have the fruit of their love.

- Tell us, please, what does your spouse usually give you for your birthday, wedding dates? What gift surprised you the most?

- If one of the latter, then the biggest gift is the renovation in our apartment, which was carried out by an Italian designer. Indescribable beauty! The last time there was a very funny story, when my husband and son gave me perfume. I was handed a beautiful bottle, but it turned out that it was simply impossible to open it! We fought over it for three days and already thought that we had been deceived and the bottle was cast, until we found a latch there ... If you rewind a few years ago, Sasha gave me the song “Apple Evening” for one of the holidays. We sing it all the time in concert, and for me it is very significant.

- If you had the opportunity to change something in your life ...

- Since the most important thing - a faithful husband, a good son and the opportunity to be an artist - I got, I would not change anything! The most important thing is that I took place as a mother, wife and as an artist. Therefore, I can consider myself a person who is satisfied with my life, and I only dream that everything stays like this for a longer time. And for everything to be fine, I advise everyone to believe in themselves! Without faith in yourself, you will not overcome anything and achieve nothing ...

- Nadezhda Nikitichna, how does your day usually go?

- Usually my day starts with a cold shower, then exercises, a very light breakfast. After either a studio, or a rehearsal, or shooting, and in the evening a concert. This is if I'm in Moscow. And if I'm on tour, then in principle the same thing, only without a studio.

- As far as we know, you have lost a lot of weight more than once. What helped you in this? What diet do you use and how do you train your will in this matter?

- I really have been doing sports for a very long time, without this I don’t start the day, no matter where I am. I have a small gym at home. And the life of an artist is always in motion. I eat exclusively homemade food. I try to avoid different eateries as much as possible. And my husband and I eat almost nothing after six o'clock in the evening. That's what willpower is...

- Are you satisfied with your financial situation? What does money really mean to you?

- I am very calm about money, because I was born in, to put it mildly, a poor family ... I do not depend on money. My husband runs the business in our family. It's nice, of course, when you can sometimes afford something that someone else can't, but, believe me, I can easily do without a lot. I am satisfied with my family and work, and the material side is just the result of our love and hard work. And this is good news, of course.

- As a person from a peasant family, you probably know how to do everything - cook, sew, clean. Does it have to be done now? Who is leading your house?

- Well, not without it. I love to cook, but unfortunately I don't have much time for it. Here we are at New Year never work. And I start preparing the festive table in the morning. I get great pleasure from this. But of course, I don't do all the homework myself. I have an assistant.

– Nadezhda Nikitichna, your costumes are often the subject of discussion… Someone thinks they are too bright… Reveal the secret, who sews them for you?

- I have a number of fashion designers who sew stage costumes to order for me. And my husband too, by the way. But all the sketches are approved by my husband and I personally! We make our corrections. They even made a mannequin to fit my figure, on which they check how the dress fits ... Therefore, my costumes are not accidental, especially Russian folk ones, where everything is made by hand, to order.

Couldn't save mother and sister

Nadezhda Kadysheva was born in a small village in the Samara region. She had to enter adulthood at the age of ten, when her mother died at the age of forty.

“So no one understood why,” the singer recalls. - She was doing well: a loving husband, a big house in the village, two girls - me and my younger sister. But she had such a peculiarity of the psyche - she was constantly sharpened by causeless longing, severe depression. This terrible disease literally burns the heart and leads a person to an early death.

When the father married again and the stepmother brought her two daughters to the house, Kadysheva and her sister had to live in a boarding school ... Then Nadezhda went to Moscow, began to study singing, and her sister got married and, having given birth to a child, began to suffer from the same bouts of depression as their mother . As a result, she committed suicide on the second attempt. After that, depression began in Nadezhda herself.

- I was waiting for my fortieth birthday with horror: what if I won’t be able to step over this threshold? – the singer recalls. - A constant anxiety and fear settled in my soul, which were replaced either by boundless universal sadness, or by complete apathy for life. I couldn't understand what was happening to me. Everything inside hurts unbearably. It seems that the pain devours you all without a trace, you don’t feel anything but it, and there is no strength to get out of it.

On top of that, the singer was diagnosed with cancer. But after some time, after working with a serious psychotherapist, the doctors were surprised to find that the disease had gone. Apparently, she had a psychological basis ... According to the singer, her beloved husband helped her get out of difficult conditions. Now she is learning to live in a new way.

Nadezhda Nikitichna was born on June 1 (May 19, according to other sources), 1959 in the village of Gorki, then the family moved to the village of Stary Maklaush, Klyavlinsky district, which was located at the junction of the Orenburg, Samara regions and Tatarstan.

Father - Nikita Mikhailovich (1923-1974), worked as a foreman on the railway. Mother - Anna Andreevna Kadysheva (1927-1970), was a housewife. In addition to Nadia, four more daughters grew up in the family.

The youth of Nadezhda Nikitichna was not easy. At first, nothing foreshadowed trouble and the family lived easily and cheerfully. Everything changed in one moment - at the age of 42, my mother died. (Kadysheva herself was also in danger - at the age of 30, she was diagnosed with a tumor. She waited two years for death from breast cancer. But during the operation, the diagnosis was not confirmed. Doctors saved her even at 49, when Nadezhda almost died from acute tachycardia, the doctors miraculously prevented a heart attack).

Shortly after this incident, a new disaster struck. The singer's little nephew died - he was only one year old. Kadysheva was 10 years old when her father married again. A stepmother came to the house, who brought her children with her, and the life of the sisters changed for the worse. The older sister Vera left for the city and got a job at a factory. Another sister was sent to relatives, and the future singer and her sister Lyubov were sent to a boarding school in Bugulma. In letters, the father always addressed his daughters as “you” and sometimes secretly sent some money from his stepmother. Once, when there was a discussion of a song contest in a boarding school, Kadysheva sang the song "Eaglet" and received praise.

Kadysheva went to the Moscow region to her older sister. At the end of the eight-year period, she began to work as a weaver in Lobnya at the Krasnaya Polyana weaving factory and take part in amateur performances.
