Classes have begun in children's ski schools. Teaching children to ski Teaching children to ski

Yes, it is believed that at 2-3 years old it is too early for a baby to teach skiing. According to experts, the most suitable age for learning this sport is 5-6 years. But there are exceptions, for example, if the child himself asks for skiing. The reason for this may be your passion for these sports. Then, of course, you can start training under your close supervision and in three, four years.

little skier

First you need to find a good flat area, which will be somewhere near the house. It is desirable if it is protected from the wind. The most acceptable temperature: from -1 to -10°C. It is also necessary to take into account the direction of the wind when choosing or laying a ski track. It should blow on the child's back.

In ordinary walking and running, slipping does not occur. But sliding is the main movement of a skier. That is why you need to start with skiing. Sticks may not be used. They don't help much with balance and usually get in the way.

There are exercises that help kids get used to skiing. You just need to present them as a game:

  • You need to squat, while standing on two skis.
  • Let the kid jump on the spot from foot to foot or on two skis.
  • Exercise "stork": you need to raise the leg bent at the knee, while keeping the ski in a horizontal position.
  • Exercise "draw a fence": side steps on skis to the side.
  • Exercise "draw a fan, a snowflake": you need to turn around, stepping in place around the heels. After - around the toes of the skis. 90 and 360 degrees.

After that, the child will need to master the stepping step step without slip. Watch your baby. The correct movements in this case are when:

  • The legs and arms of the baby move as if he was just walking. That is, forward - right foot and left hand, etc.
  • When walking, the child transfers body weight from one foot to the other.
  • The child's body leans more than if he were just walking.

First, let the baby learn to walk on virgin soil with shallow snow or on a ski track. Later, you can already master zigzag movements, bypassing trees, bushes, benches, etc.

Many wonder when teaching a child when it is time to learn the sliding step. This will happen when the baby will already be able to walk, while not crossing the skis. Also when he begins to move his arms and legs in a sweeping manner and keep his balance correctly.

To master the sliding step, you need to choose a ski track laid under a slight slope. It is necessary to show the baby how to ski even faster - not to walk, but to slide and push. To do this, taking a skier's stance (legs slightly bent at the knees, body slightly tilted forward, arms lowered), you need to take a large and sharp step forward and slide slightly on one leg. After that, you need to step and slide on the other leg, etc.

Although it is possible in another way: let the child scatter with a stepping step and, having already gained speed, switch to sliding steps. It is necessary to ensure that there is a complete transfer of the body from one foot to the other while sliding.

Exercises that will help your child train in sliding:

  • You need to run up, while sliding on one ski. Let the baby do this until it comes to a complete stop. The second ski needs to be slightly raised above the ski track.
  • Ski scooter exercise: slide on one ski while pushing off the other.
  • Try to take sliding steps with your hands behind your back.
  • Take sliding steps, alternately pushing off with sticks.

If the child masters these simple movements, you can safely take him with you on a ski trip. Later, the kid himself will understand that you can ride in other more complex ways. After all, he will constantly learn by watching other skiers.

Baby equipment

You may find it difficult to find small shoes for your toddler. But it will be easier with cross-country skis: there are good semi-rigid bindings on sale complete with small plastic skis, by the way, at a relatively low price. The main thing with regard to fasteners is the ease of handling them.

Remember that there is weakness for semi-rigid fasteners. This is a heel strap. In no case should it “fall off” and is designed to firmly grip the shoes with the ski. In the case when the fasteners are old, you need to carefully inspect them. After all, during this time, the rubber could be pretty worn out and then it would have to be replaced with a new one. The smallest skiers do not need special ski shoes.

Skis should be about 10 cm longer, and the length of the poles should be 10-15 cm less than the height of the baby. Sticks should be light and have loops for brushes.

Let the outerwear of the child be better separately: jacket and trousers. It should be made from a wind and waterproof fabric. After all, falls, especially at first, will be frequent, so you should make sure.

Your first and main rule when teaching children to ski should be the following: any sports activities can be enjoyed by children only if they are fun and funny. Their skiing becomes nimble and natural without any training in ski technique, but only with the help of jokes and fun.
Your main sense when skiing with children is hearing: listen to the children and follow their desires. The time has come for you to be patient and mentally prepared for selflessness and self-sacrifice. During these activities, you should not try to satisfy your own "ski desires", although it is quite possible that the effort expended will be more than paid off in the future. As soon as the children begin to whimper or complain about the severity of the exercises, you should find the reason for such a reaction of your charges and eliminate it (the reason, and with it the reaction of the students).
Try to feel the concentration of children's attention. It's better to finish a ski lesson early than when it's too late. For skiing, the old parental axiom is quite suitable: "A child's attention span in minutes is equal to the child's age in years." Maintain children's enthusiasm, and if it suddenly disappears, do not force the child to resume exercise.
You may find that when you try to explain the basics of skiing to children, they are not interested at all. Put yourself in their place: does the child want to listen to an adult who, instead of just skiing, begins to explain at length how it is done. It is much more correct to let them do what they want and let them improve at their own pace.
Remember that while skiing, children also have rights, and they have the right to demand their observance. Namely:
The right to warmth and comfort. In addition to the fact that children's clothing should be "multi-layered", it is necessary to provide easy access to its upper "layers". There should be enough hot tea in your thermos, and gingerbread and cookies in your pockets.
The right to freedom. Children's skis should be easy to put on and take off. Let the kids on skis do whatever they like.
The right to respect. Listen to children and take their words seriously.
The right to security. Maybe the slide you are going to ride is too steep, bumpy or icy? Try to eliminate all possible dangerous situations.
The right not to feel bored or tired. Too much exercise is unlikely to bring a lot of fun to children. There is no better way to instill an aversion to skiing in them than to force them to do it when they no longer feel like it.
The right not to feel compelled. Children hate being forced to do things. Their skiing experience will only be more pleasurable if they have the freedom to start or end as they wish. You yourself probably understand the harm from doing "out of the blue."

Teach your child to ski near your home. If there is at least a small area suitable for skiing near the place where you live, use it. Keep your children's ski equipment within easy reach so they can use it whenever they feel like it. You probably won't have enough free time to take ski lessons often. It doesn't have to be - there are plenty of fun games to play on skis - teach them to your kids and they'll improve their skills on their own. For example:
Ski handball- a game without sticks, which perfectly develops such qualities as speed and reaction.
Chariot competition- the players (all on skis) are divided into pairs: one of them becomes a "horse", the second is a "rider", holding on to a rope tied around the waist of the "horse". After the first "arrival" the members of each of the teams change places.
ski slalom- for this you will only need a not too steep slope and a few sticks representing a slalom gate.
ski jumping- build a springboard for your children yourself - so that it is not too big and completely safe.
Slalom and ski jumping are usually so fun that children can play and have fun to the point of exhaustion. Imagine how many exercises you would have to get your kids to do to achieve the same training effect. As they learn to ski the slalom course and ski jump at higher speeds, their technical fitness will improve as well. I started jumping skiing at the age of 7 and I'm sure that jumping might be of interest to many of those guys who didn't like the speed of alpine skiing.
However, do not insist on cross-country skiing only! Support any ski passion of your children, whatever it may be: skiing, snowboard or biathlon. Always remember that skiing is the best foundation for any skiing discipline.
The most exciting game for both children and adults usually becomes towing- the same game as chariot competitions, where adults act as a "horse". Use a long (at least 3 meters) rope, tie it around the "horse" waist and fasten it to the towed one using some kind of easy-to-open fastener. Since the child's hands will be free, he will be able to help himself in moving with sticks. Remember that this game can only be played on flat ground or a slight gentle slope - never go down the mountain if you are whipped by a "rider".
Towing is especially useful if you have good skiing technique - then your children will simply be able to copy the correct movements. This will the best way show students that the basis of ski technique is gliding. Children will very quickly learn that the harder they push, the longer the slide lasts.
When towing, ensure that the "towing cable" is fastened in such a way that children themselves can easily open and close the clasp. Parents! Do not think that you will be able to complete a marathon run in this way. First of all, make sure that your children do not get tired of being "towed" after the first kilometer of the course.

If there is enough snow in the area where you live, you should try to make skiing a lifestyle. In fact, this way of learning is much easier to implement than it seems at first glance. There are many possibilities to reach the goal. And don't forget - after all, skiing can bring real pleasure - by doing so you make your life more fun (while strengthening the health of children).
If you have such an opportunity, try to turn skis for your children into a means of transportation. My brother and I skied to school every day in the winter - and I still have memories of how great it is to get up early in the morning and feel the skis glide on the freshly fallen snow. And how many pleasant moments were waiting for us on the way back home - winding ski paths among snowdrifts, breathtaking descents along the virgin slopes of hills, jumping over frozen streams! When there is no snow, put your children on the bike. Do not use transport - let your child's own engine run!

Skiing is an exciting activity, but remember that today's children have many different ways to spend their free time, and not all of them benefit them. The main thing you should not forget is that the only thing that can make children ski is their desire. When skating does not make them joyful and cheerful, then something is wrong. Listen to your kids if you want them to enjoy skiing. And even when your children are happy - do not stop there. Always try to make classes varied - and your pupils will thank you.

A very picturesque place was chosen for the resort - virgin nature and living modernity are harmoniously combined here. The half-artificial mountain turned out to be unique - its height is 225 meters above sea level, and the height difference reaches 90 meters. The mountain can be seen from the surrounding area for several kilometers, and it stands out even against the background of the hills of the Klin-Dmitrov ridge.

The Yakhroma Park is open to all lovers of active winter recreation, and skiers and snowboarders are a priority here. A good skier will find the slopes here boring, but they are ideal for beginners. Experienced instructors teach beginners skiing here. Pretty soon they begin to enjoy skiing or snowboarding.

In total, the park has four ski slopes with well-prepared slopes that differ in difficulty. The height difference is relatively small, 65 meters. Although the park cannot boast of long trails or a unique elevation difference, it has everything you need for a family holiday with children or in a company. If you do not have the necessary equipment, you can rent it. The ski season usually starts in early December and lasts until the end of March.

The second option is an electric train from the Savelovsky railway station to the Yakhroma station. Further from the station to the park "Volen" can be reached by minibus number 9 or bus number 9 (terminal) or by taxi.

Also from the metro station "Altufievo" there is an intercity bus Moscow - Dmitrov No. 401. On it you can get to Lenin Street in Yakhroma.

Sports park "Volen" became one of the first "civilized" ski resorts in the Moscow region, equipped in the Alpine style. It opened in 1998. During its existence, "Volen" has experienced periods of ups and downs. Shortly after its opening, competitors appeared around with high level offers and slope quality. And although Volen lags behind its neighbors in terms of the length of the slopes, which does not exceed 400 meters, the park management manages to find new solutions to attract skiers and snowboarders to its slopes. One of them is a prudent pricing policy. The park provides significant discounts for children and adults.

Fourteen tracks are marked from blue to black. Height difference up to 65 meters. There is a training slope for beginners and children.

The infrastructure of the park is constantly developing. There are separate tracks for boardercross and tubing.

On the territory of the park there is a large free parking lot, a rental office with modern ski equipment, a shop, a ski service, luggage storage.

You can have a bite to eat at the Extreme grill bar, the Wasabi sushi bar, and the Bugel-Vugel bistro. Restaurants "Mont Blanc" and "Trattoria" offer dishes of European cuisine.

Hotel Volen park includes the main building of the hotel with 59 rooms and 25 cottages in the form of "Finnish" and "Russian" houses - with and without a sauna. The hotel also has a conference hall with 50 seats.

There are a variety of opportunities for other active recreational activities. On the territory there is a skating rink, a toboggan run, tubing tracks, a track for cross-country skiers. You can also ride a snowmobile, ATV, buggy, kart or fly a light plane, helicopter, hang glider or paraglider.

The Volen sports park even has a special mogul track with hillocks.

Sports complex "Stepanovo"

How to get there. By car along Dmitrovskoye highway 45 km from the Moscow Ring Road, turn left at the sign "Volen". Then another 3.5 kilometers past the Volen and Yakhroma parks to the Stepanovo complex. The chairlifts and chalets serve as reference points. The second option is an electric train from the Savelovsky railway station to the Yakhroma station. You can take a taxi at the station.

Ski complex "Stepanovo" is located in a secluded place in a picturesque forest at a distance of 5 kilometers from the sports park "Volen". This subsidiary project of the Volen park was opened near the village of Stepanovo in 2000. The natural slope with a roll-out to the Volgusha River was raised even more, adding imported soil. The result was a slope 1 kilometer long and a height difference of 110 meters. This figure is the highest in the Moscow region. Stepanovskiye slopes are most loved by snowboarders.

On the main slope there is a track with several steep drop-offs 900 meters long and a drop of 110 meters, and the second, simpler one, 850 meters long, runs along the cable car. On the central slope there is a 700-meter long steep drop track. On the Strekovsky slope there are two simple tracks 550 and 580 meters long and with a difference of 50 meters.

The slopes are serviced by three chair lifts. One of them, a domestic double-seat, is rather old and very slow. The other two are more modern and faster. Two lifts also serve the opposite slope on the other side of the river near the village of Strekovo. It is noticeably shorter and more flattering. This slope is most suitable for beginners. They usually descend along it from the village of Strekovo, where you can drive up to Stepanovo by car.

All trails are illuminated with spotlights and equipped with snow cannons. The lifts are open late. Under the cover of tall fir trees, snow here stays better and longer than that of its neighbors. Fans of skiing, snowboarding and secluded slopes often prefer Stepanovo to other, more crowded resorts. It is quiet here and there are relatively few people on the slope, which allows you to feel closer to nature and makes it possible to forget about the bustle of the city.

There is a two-story building near the top lift station, which houses changing rooms, rental, ski service, luggage storage, and a toilet.

The choice of food outlets in Stepanovo is not so diverse, but you can still choose between the Pit Stop bistro, the Ski Cafe and the Caramel cafe.

Life hacks:

You can also get to the Stepanov slopes from the village of Strekovo.

The sports complex is all-season and multi-profile, skiing in it is one of the main directions. In addition, in Kant you can practice ski acrobatics, cross-country skiing, tennis, mountain biking, rock climbing and ice climbing.

In the winter season, 17 tracks with a total length of 3550 meters with a height difference of 55 meters and slopes up to 300 meters long are being prepared on the territory of the complex. Of these, nine training tracks with progressive complication are designed for training. The rest of the tracks are designed for advanced skiers and athletes. When holding competitions, there is everything you need to set up a slalom track and a boardercross track. For ski acrobatics, a special springboard has been built on one of the slopes, on which freestylers train. A mogul track is being specially prepared for them.

There is also a permanent snow park with a halfpipe and a cross-country skiing track on the territory of the club.

All year round in Kant, under the supervision of an experienced coach, classes are held on the unique SkyTechSport ski simulator, which allows you to teach skiing techniques to beginners, and advanced skiers to improve their skills.

The club holds various events and systematic classes for children and adults all year round. During the year, the complex is visited by up to 500 thousand people, more than 6,000 children and adults use the services of a ski school.

Particular attention in the sports club is given to activities with children. There is a school for entry level as well as for sports training. Considerable attention is paid to children with handicapped. MDYuSSh "Nagornaya" is a member of the "Dream Skiing" program, conducts charity programs for pupils of boarding schools, orphans, disabled children, children from large and low-income families.

Near the slopes there is a cafe and a snow bar where you can have a quick bite to eat. For a more substantial lunch and for an evening rest, there is a restaurant of alpine cuisine "Chalet". "Snezh.com"

How to get there. Minibuses No. 1233k, No. 1120, No. 1175, buses No. 1095, No. 856 go to the ski center. You can take the trains of the Riga direction to the Pavshino station. Or walk from the Myakinino metro station along the bridge over the Moskva River and further along Krasnogorsky Boulevard.

The all-season ski complex "Snezh.com" opened in March 2008. It is located in the Pavshinsky floodplain, a few kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road. This is the only year-round roofed slope in Russia and the largest such complex in Europe. Here you can ski in the snow at any time of the year. The room temperature is constantly maintained in the order of -3 ... -7 ° C. The thickness of the snow cover is from 50 to 90 centimeters, and the area of snow cover is 22,000 square meters. That's about the size of four football fields. The height of the ceiling above the slope is 12 meters, and the roof does not “press” from above at all.

Both in winter and summer, the characteristics of the coating on the slope do not change. And it's not just the temperature, but the fact that the snow here is not quite ordinary. It is obtained by crushing into small crumbs pieces of ice produced by three refrigeration machines. Geneglace. Each of them produces 30 tons of ice per day. Snow is produced outside and fed to the slope through plastic pipes. This allows you to maintain a unique microclimate inside the complex. The coating is more slippery and, accordingly, faster. With a relatively small slope (no more than 28%), you can accelerate to high speeds, which is what athletes use in training.

High-speed Austrian lifts, even when the slope is fully loaded, do not allow queues to form. The slope with a width of 60 meters allows several hundred skiers and snowboarders to ski at the same time. The total capacity of the complex, including changing rooms, rentals and cafes, is 800 people.

"Snezh.com" provides everything you need, even the little things. Inside the complex there are enough places where you can just have a bite to eat, and have a hearty lunch or dinner after skiing. There are restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all tastes. On the territory of Snezh.com there is a whole health and entertainment complex with an Olympic-sized skating rink, an aquazone with saunas and a swimming pool, a whole labyrinth for playing paintball, game rooms, a shooting range, a children's entertainment area, shops and a conference room.

Life hacks:

It is not at all necessary to carry skis with you - next to the rental there are storage rooms where you can leave your equipment until your next arrival.

There is only one track for skiers, there is practically no parking, the chair lift is very slow, the slope can be closed for training or competition. Be prepared for the fact that you will need to go somewhere else, for example, to Kant.

Address: Sevastopolskiy proezd, opposite property 66

How to get there. From the metro station "Yasenevo" by trolley bus No. 85 or by fixed-route taxi No. 85 to the stop "Sports Complex Uzkoye" (45 minutes).

The slope is located in the south-west of Moscow at the entrance to the Bitsevsky Forest park, opposite the Uzkoye estate. Slope 200 meters long, vertical drop 40 meters, two towing lifts. A separate track for beginners with a baby lift. Three tracks (one training), snowboard park. Snowmaking system, slope preparation, lighting. Children's and youth sports school, rental, instructors, left-luggage office, first-aid post, cafe.

A pleasant place: the slopes are almost always in good condition, the lower station of one of the lifts is located in the forest, complete isolation from the city. The lack of a locker room and a not too cozy cafe spoil the impression a little.

Very close to the Moscow Ring Road, in the new districts of Moscow, there are several small ski areas that are popular mainly with those who live nearby.

How to get there. By car from the Moscow Ring Road, you need to go along the Kyiv highway, after 2 kilometers there will be a sign to the right to Solntsevo, then a few kilometers to the mountain on the left.

From the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station, by bus No. 707 or fixed-route taxi No. 43, you can drive directly to the slope.

It is located two kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road along the Kyiv highway in the Solntsevo microdistrict. Every year, after the opening of the season, tournaments and competitions of various levels with the participation of Russian athletes are held here. An elevation difference of 50 meters, three tracks (the longest is 460 meters), a mogul track and one of the largest snowboard parks in Moscow: Half-Pipe, Big Air, Spine and railpark. There is also a tubing track with a separate lift. For beginners, there is a training slope and instructor services.

The ski complex provides for lighting of slopes, snowmaking and preparation of slopes. Rental and service services are provided. On the territory there is a left-luggage office, a cafe, parking. The feature of Novo-Peredelkino is an all-weather overpass for hovercraft jumps.

There is actually only one slope for skiers - the sports complex is the main training base for the Stolitsa children's and youth sports school and for classes with an instructor, the snowboard park is closed for just skiers.

Children go to school!

Started enrollment in children's ski schools

“Prepare your skis in the summer” applies to the greatest extent not so much to the skis themselves and other equipment, but to skiers. Especially the young ones. All the best Moscow ski schools started enrolling in groups already in September, and now the first trainings are taking place. So if you want to see your child skiing/snowboarding this season, it is by no means necessary to wait for the first snow.

“Snowless” training in almost all respected institutions includes roller skates, OFP (ball, jumps, ropes and other exercises), in some schools - a trampoline and a bicycle.

For the first lessons, it is not necessary to buy the entire set of equipment, you can rent it until it becomes clear that the sport you have chosen will “go” with your child.

What you will most likely have to fork out for is a helmet (for those who are not too familiar with the details - helmets are different for skates and skis). The price of a new roller (bicycle) helmet is 900-1500 rubles. You can not do without a set of protection - it is sold in any decent sports store. An attempt to save money and buy inexpensive protection usually ends with the fact that after 4-5 sessions you have to buy a new one - the handhelds fall apart first, then other parts suffer. The average cost of a children's kit that will last longer than 1 month is from 1100 rubles. For gentle and whiny persons, protective shorts are very relevant for the first lessons on roller skates (from 450 rubles)

Even if the sports school does not require a mandatory certificate from a doctor, be sure to consult a pediatrician and / or surgeon: for some orthopedic problems, skiing and rollerblading are not indicated.

Of the Moscow sports schools, we interviewed three of the most famous and popular: Kant, the CSKA Ski School and the Stolitsa National School of Sports.

SKI SCHOOL CSKA

A school known for its good level of teaching and of course its principal. The head of the CSKA Ski Base, Sergey Petrik, is a master of sports of international class, ten-time and the last champion of the USSR, winner of the European Championships, a wonderful coach (by the way, with a higher pedagogical and legal education). Both the children's school and the slope itself have been successfully developing and developing on his experience and authority for many years. This year, children from 5 years old are accepted to the school, for preschoolers, training takes place in the morning (Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Friday, from 10.00 to 11.30), schoolchildren train three times a week after school. In the off-season, one lesson is general physical training (on the street or in a sports / gym, coordination exercises, “classics”, jump ropes, etc.), another one is roller skates.

For admission to school, you need to bring a copy of your birth certificate, a copy of insurance policy, a certificate from a doctor stating that the child can go in for skiing and 1 photo. Subscription price for the whole season (from September to May) - 8000 rubles, payment of 50% is possible with the subsequent payment of the balance of the amount until December. If two children attend the school at once, there are discounts.

Pros:

  • Pleasant, almost homely, chamber atmosphere - both in the groups themselves and in the whole school;
  • Small groups and strong teaching level;
  • Classes are held in the forest, ecologically clean zone, in the Filevsky Park area, next to the Moscow River;
  • Several times a year the school travels to sports camps and competitions;
  • Good preparation slopes (2 snowcats, 2 ski lifts), outsiders are restricted during training;
  • Affordable prices.

Minuses:

  • Classes are held on weekdays, respectively, preschoolers have to skip classes in the garden or preparation for school (for older groups, classes are held in the afternoon);
  • The number of coaches is limited: if your child does not "get along with the character" with the teacher, you will have to change schools.
  • They teach only alpine skiing and rollerblading, they don’t teach how to ride snowboards and skateboards.

Coordinates: Tel. 415 4015, Rublevskoe shosse, 24, metro: "Molodezhnaya," Krylatskoe ".

How to get there: from Rublevsky highway (from the center) turn right between the "Hedgehog" store and the "Evrokhimchistka" building, then straight ahead to the fence and to the right, go parallel to the Moskva River.

KANT

Services offered to children (from 3 years old) and parents by the sports school "Kanta":

  • Trial training in basic skating by connecting to a subscription group
  • Express training in elementary skating in small groups
  • Individual training
  • Roller skating and skateboarding slalom training special physical training for skiers and snowboarders in subscription groups (spring, autumn)
  • Trial training in slalom on roller skates and skateboards by joining a subscription group
  • Small-Group Speed Skate and Skateboard Slalom Lesson
  • Individual slalom lessons on inline skates and skateboards

Accordingly, as soon as the first snow falls, the rollers are replaced with alpine skiing or snowboarding and the training in ski equipment begins.

In practice, children are most often brought to Kant different ages, and they are recorded in a group with a coach. Getting to a good coach is a separate (and not the easiest) task, but if you are giving away a child under 6 years old, it is extremely important that the coach and the kid get along. When enrolling a child in "Kant" you need to keep in mind that this is a commercial club, with appropriate goals. And, of course, a lot depends on which coach your child gets.

Subscription for 4 workouts costs 980 rubles.

Documents and certificates are not required.

Pros:

  • A large number of groups and trainers;
  • Can be practiced on weekends
  • In addition to roller skates, classes include trampoline jumping;
  • The school is well equipped - in addition to the actual slides with lifts, there is a ramp for roller skates and other equipment.

Minuses:

  • It is quite expensive - almost 2 thousand rubles are spent on classes every month, and even more with three training sessions a day.
  • The composition of new groups changes quickly and quite often.
  • The club itself is located not in the best ecological zone capital, and if you don't live nearby, it can take a long time to get there.
Coordinates:

Http://www.kant.ru, metro station "Nagornaya", Electrolitny proezd vl. 7-B, tel: 317-61-01
How to get there: from the metro station "Nagornaya" straight along Electrolitny passage (approx. 500 m), the entrance to the club is on the left, follow the signs "Moscow Alps".

RSH "CAPITAL"

Children and Youth sports schools NGS are located in 4 districts of Moscow:

Novo-Peredelkino - snowboarding and skiing

Sevastopolsky Prospekt (Uzkoye) - skiing only

North Butovo - skiing only

Kurkino - skiing and snowboarding

Children who do not have medical contraindications for sports are enrolled in the school. The school provides students with equipment (except helmets and protection) for the duration of training. For classes, the same set of documents is required as for the CSKA Ski School. Classes are held 3 times a week for 1.5 hours each, in the off-season - roller skates, bicycles, trampoline. Coaches from the NHS “Stolitsa” also work on Vorobyovy Gory, but at present Vorobyovka is not a subdivision of the NGS.

Children have always liked winter sports for their dynamism, unusualness and a lot of fun experiences. The positive impact of training is hard to overestimate. How to teach a child to ski and how to properly organize such events will be prompted by proven simple recommendations.

First steps

You can start teaching children to ski as early as the age of 4 years. Previously, according to orthopedists, classes will greatly affect the skeleton and can lead to inharmonious formation of body systems.

If the baby is already 4 years old, you can fully delve into the methodology of

Equipment selection

For the first lesson, it is better to look for skis up to 70 cm long. Permanent equipment should be similar or a maximum of 5 cm more than it.

It is better to choose running equipment, as it is equipped with good bindings.

When teaching a child to ski at an older age, when his height already exceeds 120 cm, equipment should be selected according to the same rule as for adults. The length of the equipment must be equal to the distance measured from the floor to the outstretched hand of the young athlete, and in no case longer.

Teaching children under 5 years of age usually does not involve the use of equipment sticks.

But you should provide for the presence of a special stick for towing about 30 cm in size. It is tied to a solid rope about 3 m long. The towing stick is used as an auxiliary element so that the baby feels the correct, real sliding.

The best shoes for training are those with a blunt toe, which should be 3-4 cm longer than the width of the fastening belt.

Of the clothes, the best option would be a woolen sweater, a special fleece and a knitted hat.

We teach children to ski while still at home, so that the child gets used to the dimensions of the equipment and its weight.

Mastering the Steps

It is necessary to teach children to ski from mastering a simple stepping step. Put the sticks aside. The kid is offered to raise (show how it is done) the right foot and stomp it, and then do the same with the left foot. The exercise is repeated several times.

After the step has been tried, you can begin to study the sliding step. To perform it, it is necessary to take the main stance of the skier: the legs should be slightly bent at the knees, and the body leans slightly forward.

The center of gravity is transferred to the right leg, while it is not torn off from the snow, and they slide forward on the surface. At the moment when the right ski stops, the exercise is done with the left leg.

The child must understand that the stronger he pushes off the snow, the longer the sliding takes.

When this exercise is mastered, you should take it in your hands and go through the snow with a sliding step, which will now turn out even faster.

If the right leg goes forward, then the emphasis is on the stick in the left hand. And vice versa.

Learning lifting techniques

The method of performing climbs on a hill of medium steepness will help teach a child to ski up a slope.

Climbing with a "half-herringbone" consists in setting one ski with its base on the surface, and the second - obliquely, while focusing on the edge. The toe stays away from the first ski.

Another way is called "ladder". The left side of the baby turns to the snow hill. Skis are parallel to one another. The left leg steps up parallel to the base of the instep. The second leg is attached to the first. This step is used for a steep slope. You can also lean on sticks.

Descent and braking

To teach your child how to ski Special attention should be given to the descent and braking.

Before sliding down the hill, the child must take the correct position. Skis are placed directly and close to each other. During the descent on the slope, it is necessary to make springy movements. The steeper the hill, the more the legs bend at the knees.

One of key points Another way to teach a child to ski is the braking technique.

First, they try to stop the movement on non-steep slopes. The basic technique is called "half plow". The weight is transferred to the first ski going straight, and the toe of the other is turned to the first and emphasis is made using the inner edge.

With the correct execution of this technique, braking occurs smoothly. Having mastered the method on a gentle slope, you should try to stop the movement on steeper hills.

In search of an answer to the question of how to teach a child to ski, it is necessary to carefully approach the choice of equipment and methods for mastering the basic elements. There is no doubt that with the right approach to organizing such an event, skiing will bring a lot of fun, vivid and unforgettable impressions as a child. as well as parents.
