Carrington was suspected by the police of wearing a wig, although this was not revealed until Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Carrington is believed to be behind many lucrative development plans and is responsible for the forced liberation of the slums. However, he is cautious and leaves town on business when any violence occurs. He is a frequent guest at Colonel Cortez's parties, and is also Ken Rosenberg's biggest client (and that's how he gets to know Tommy Vercetti). Tommy works for Avery, and as a reward, Carrington helps Tommy buy his first business (which subsequently led to the creation of a colossal business/criminal empire). Carrington has a student, , a character Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, corrupt business tycoon. Carrington, after taking Love under his wing and teaching him real estate lessons, explains Love's cruelty later. Also from Avery, Donald heard words that were repeated in much the same way in GTA III: AT Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Carrington appears on a billboard in Las Venturas. Carrington can be seen again in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories when Toni Cipriani kills him in one cameo (per the behest of his old protégé, Donald Love).

Other characters

Mercedes Cortes

Wayward daughter of Colonel Cortes (b.1961). She is originally speculated to be a possible girlfriend of Tommy Vercetti, but story line not fully disclosed. Not yet settled in the city, Tommy meets Mercedes during a party aboard the Colonel's yacht; in the process of friendly chatter, Mercedes gives him a lot of valuable information about the representatives of the city's elite present. She then asks Tommy to take her to the Pole Position Strip Bar, the largest strip club in Vice City, which Tommy later becomes the owner of. In another episode, she has sex with the Love Fist group. She is referenced in the song "Dangerous Bastard", in the stanza "Action, camera, lipstick, lights. I drive the Mercedes tight. No one knows I'm playing guitar while wearing her red bra." She later entered the porn industry, starring opposite Candy Sachs in a film directed by Steve Scott and produced by Vercetti and his film studio.

Hidden and unused telephone conversation between Tommy and Mercedes proves that the game's developers had intentions originally to include a deeper relationship between the two characters. Audio files of Mercedes calling from the GTA Vice City files directory indicate that she wants to spend time alone with Tommy when she is crazy, happy or bored. One particular phone call comes after the assassination of Ricardo Diaz. Mercedes praises Tommy and calls him a real man for killing Ricardo, but Tommy, trying to hide the incident, says that Diaz died in a fire in his mansion. After a successful bank robbery in the mission "Job", when Tommy and Phil are resting at Cam Jones' house, Mercedes arrives there to give Tommy a relaxing massage: apparently, they celebrate success in the most difficult case together. Initially, the developers planned to make an experiment on the basis of gender relations in the game, but soon decided to bring the idea to life in the next series of the game.

Rico

Cuban gang member, Tommy Vercetti's partner in first three missions for the Cubans. Like Umberto Robina, he constantly talks about "men with big balls". During the test for admission to the gang - racing on a speedboat, he first taunts Tommy, and after the successful completion of the track, he praises him. Together with Tommy and other Cubans, he attacked the Haitian drug factory. During the attack, Rico and Vercetti stole a van loaded with factory "products" for Umberto Robina. The next time, he and Tommy on a boat shot Haitians and drug dealers who had gathered at the pier to make a deal. When Vercetti landed on the shore to finish off the survivors and pick up the case with the money, one of the surviving Haitians blew up the boat with a grenade along with Rico.

Alberto Robina

Humberto Robina's father, he can always be found at Robina's Cafe in Little Havana. Appears in several cut scenes, works at Robin's Cafe. He, like his son, is personally on good terms with Tommy Vercetti and considers him their.

However, he arrived too late when the police had already surrounded the bank, and was killed by SWAT fighters as soon as he got out of the car. This is a reference to the 1995 movie. fight directed by Michael Mann and executive producer Miami Police.

Candy Sachs eventually becomes a porn star working for Tommy Vercetti, as shown on the posters and video covers of some of the pornographic films in vice city (Bite, Closer Encounters), San Andreas (Vinewood Call Girls, It Can't Be Legal, Return of the Anaconda) and Liberty City Stories (let me jump); there are billboards with her image in Los Santos and Las Venturas in San Andreas. Vice City Stories reveals that Candy starred in a movie about bestiality around 1984. In one of the missions of the game GTA Vice City Stories, Jerry Martinez watches this movie with elements of bestiality.

Congressman Alex Schrab

A corrupt right-wing politician who became the youngest state congressman in Florida history because, according to Maurice Chavez, "he has great hair and says things that make you nod your head." Shrub is a corrupt and unscrupulous demagogue, who deliberately tries to distract people from the fact that Vice City is mired in crime under his rule. He constantly cheats on his wife and cares only about his own well-being, lobbying for bribes for any solutions that are beneficial to businessmen, such as the legalization of "Giggle Cream", a dangerous drug dessert that killed 23 people. This is a reference to the 1985 sci-fi horror film. delicious rubbish. He is almost always protected by the FBI and rides in a golden limousine. During the campaign, Shrub supported measures to ban pornography, in response, Vercetti and Scott began to blackmail him with pictures of Shrub in women's stockings and garters indulging in debauchery with Candy Sachs. As a result, Shrab changed his mind.

Politics voiced Chris Lucas.

Mike

Was a member of Diaz's gang, but along with Diaz's other bodyguards later joined the Vercetti Gang when Diaz was killed, this is likely a reference to Scarface. He appears in Party, Chasing, Supply and Demand, Bar Showdown (the mission where Mike appears only once outside of a cut-scene) and Cop Den where Lance Vance yells at him for foiling an explosion attack on a Tarbrush (Starbuck's parody) Café at the North Point Mall. He was not seen again afterwards. Took Lance's place after his death.

Goon was voiced by Robert Sykhra.

Part IV
Tommy woke up the next day. Immediately he went outside, got into a rusty Walton and drove to Phil. Arriving, he got out of the truck and went into Phil's trailer, who was sleeping on a bed over which a lamp was lit (apparently Phil was not sleeping, but simply lying with his eyes closed). Tommy accidentally stumbled over a piece of wood lying on the floor, from which Phil woke up. Seeing an old acquaintance, he immediately began to hug him. Phil began the dialogue with an army phrase:
Phil: Hello, Comrade Major!
Tommy: Man, are you drunk again?
F: Huh? Oh, no, just sparrows fly overhead
T: Okay, you're drunk. Actually, I didn't come for that.
F: What do you need?
T: I have problems with Paul Sindacco and his henchmen.
F: I can kill him in two seconds, man. Do you want to try.
T: I understand you, Phil, but I need more guns than you have. I'm talking about the armory robbery.
F: Okay...let's go for a ride?
T: Where?
F: To a military warehouse.
T: Yes, I'll just drive.
F: OK.
Tommy sat behind the wheel of an army Patriot, Phil sat in the back so as not to embarrass the driver with his drunken appearance. After 5 minutes of driving, Phil said:
Phil: There are guns in the back - for me and you. We break into the base and steal those trucks. They must have guns.
Tommy: Ok.
Both got out of the jeep and headed for the gate, having previously taken the guns from the car - Tommy armed himself with an M4, and Phil preferred the Kruger and a couple of bombs that were supposed to undermine the gate. After a deafening explosion, both broke into the base and began to destroy the soldiers, who were 30-35 people. After clearing the area, Tommy got into the nearest truck, and Phil took the farthest - both trucks were packed with heavy guns, bulletproof vests and bombs that could destroy the entire western island of Vice City. After leaving the base, the friends went to Phil's hideout. Oddly enough, the police did not even understand who to follow, so they headed to the scene of the massacre without even noticing Tom and Phil. Arriving at Phil's shack, Tommy said:
Tommy: Well, now we are almost ready - it remains only to collect the guys. And I'm going to rest - something I'm tired.
Phil: Come on, soldier, see you.
Tommy got into his Walton, in which he came to Phil, and went home on it.

Part V
Waking up, Tommy drove to Baker's bar. There he grabbed a few people for support and drove to Phil. He was already waiting for Tom at the house ...
Tommy: So, this is the decisive day. We have to kill that bastard Paulie. We will act like this: bikers - you will be with me, cover me, Phil - you will mine the whole mansion ....
Phil interrupted Tom:
Phil: I heard that the bomb is very powerful, and not only did the gang take over Paul's mansion, they took over the entire island.
T: Okay, still a lot of time with you, I believe you. So, all the cars.
Tommy got into the jeep with Phil, with two vans full of bikers behind them. The convoy headed for Starfish Island, where the Sindacco gang reigned. Stopping near the main base, Tommy said:
Tommy: See that hatch?
Phil: Yep.
T: Climb up there and mine all the places so that the island is completely blown into the air. I'll let you know when you can blow it up.
F: Got it, boss.
Tommy took the guys and went to storm the mansion. There were a lot of bandits inside, but it was easy to deal with. The 1st floor has been cleared. There was a second floor. It was more difficult there, because there were bandits with M4 and shotguns. Everyone died, including all of Tommy's allies. Poli was resting in the office. Tommy burst into the office, and pointing the gun at the owner, began a dialogue with the enemy:
Tommy: Hey...
Pauly: What do you need?
T: Get out of my town or you'll get shot in the head.
P: I thought we had an alliance...
Suddenly, Tommy fell from being hit by a bottle, which Paul's surviving thug planned. He said:
Bandit Paul: Boss, let's get out of here.
Pauly: Yep.
Tommy woke up and ran after Paul. He got into black Washington and left. Tommy saddled the bike. After leaving the island with Phil, who was waiting near the entrance to the western island, Tommy said:
Tommy: Now we can end this.
Phil pressed the red button as the opulent mansions vanished from the face of Vice City. Track down where Paul went, Tommy could not. Also, the 5 people that Paul had sent to fetch Tom and Phil rounded them up and took them to the docks with them.

The final
...docks, the smell of the sea... that's what Tommy felt, near which Pauly Sindacco himself was standing. The enemy said:
Paulie: It doesn't matter that you blew up that island, no one, even the press, will care who it was. Everyone will remember Paulie Sindacco.
T: (cough)...but everyone remembers me...not you...old lizard...
P: Goodbye, I will miss you.
After Paulie left, Phil figured out what to do. He took out a knife and began to cut the rope that was tied to his arms from a chair. Freeing his hands, Phil stabbed one of the bandits, took the gun, killed the others, and freed Tom. Tom said:
Tommy: This freak is going to run away from the city. You can't let him escape. Phil, get out of here. I'll deal with him myself.
With these words, Tommy ran to the Sentinel and rode it to the airport. Not understanding the road, Tommy drove headlong after the plane on which Pauly was flying. Tom took out a gun and started shooting at the wheels, although this was ineffective. However, it was not possible to kill Paul. The plane lifted off the ground and flew off towards the west. Tommy called Phil
Tommy: ...he left.
Phil: But you're free. He flew away, everyone is alive ...
Tommy: I hope for all your options.
Tommy remembered the Mercedes and drove to the hospital. Mercedes was waiting for Tom near the exit. Tommy ran up to her and said:
Tommy: Although this bastard has flown away, we are all free again ...

1990, cemetery
Despite the fact that Tommy passed away, all his friends remember his young, energetic killer, bandit and just a man, Tom, Tom Vercetti...

Biography

Prologue

Vercetti is imprisoned in Liberty City in 1971. In 1971, in Liberty in the Garwood district, he gets into a shootout, as a result of which several people are killed. The game states that Tommy served 15 years on multiple murder charges and is set in 1986. Tommy is sent by the Forelli family to kill one person and does it successfully, but gets surrounded and in an attempt to escape kills 11 more people. Thanks to the connections of the Forelli family, he avoids the death penalty, but receives a 15-year prison sentence.

vice city

Thanks to the influence of Sonny Forelli, head of the Forelli mafia family, Tommy is released in 1986. Sonny realizes that Tommy's return after that massacre will negatively affect the family's image in Liberty City and decides to send Tommy to Vice City in order for him to oversee an important drug deal, at the same time creating the foundation for securing the Forelli family in Vice City. Tommy and two Forelli boyfriends, Harry and Lee, meet with Ken Rosenberg, a lawyer who works for the Forelli family in Vice City. The deal is supposed to strengthen the family's influence in the city, but during the exchange, several masked men kill three of those involved in the deal (Harry, Lee, and Victor Vance). Tommy, dodging the shots, jumps into Ken's car. Ken drives to his office and hides in a panic, Tommy goes to his hotel. There, he calls Sonny and informs him of the failure. Sonny becomes furious and demands the money and drugs back.

While searching for traces leading to the man who broke the deal, Tommy meets Lance Vance, the brother of Victor killed during the deal. Together they discover that Vice City's most powerful drug lord, Ricardo Diaz, is the man. Tommy gains Diaz's trust by completing several tasks for him. Despite this, Lance makes an attempt to kill Diaz on his own.

The attempt fails, and Lance is caught and taken to the Vice City junkyard for questioning. Tommy saves him by killing Diaz's men, and in doing so, cancels out all the results of his efforts, losing Diaz's trust. Once Lance recovers and leaves the hospital, Tommy comes up with a plan to kill Diaz. They infiltrate Ricardo's mansion, killing every gang member in their path. Not far from the office, they stumble upon a fiercely shooting Diaz, Tommy manages to mortally wound him, after which he and Lance fire the last shot.

Tommy becomes the owner of the mansion, he also becomes the main criminal authority of the city. Over time, he strengthens his empire by buying various properties and developing them. At this time, Lance begins to feel that Tommy does not take him seriously, he constantly complains about it on the phone and cannot deal with miserable problems.

Sonny becomes angry about Tommy's increasing influence in Vice City, he constantly calls him, now demanding not only his money back, but also to give him some power in the city. Tommy isn't going to do either. Sonny sends his men to forcefully collect money from Tommy's real estate and take control of his business. However, Tommy stops this attempt by killing all the people sent by the family.

Afterwards, Sonny comes to Vice City in person with many of his men. Warned of this ahead of time, Tommy prepares 3 million counterfeit dollars printed in his own factory. Sonny arrives at the mansion ready to take the money when Lance openly betrays Tommy by reporting a trap. From the subsequent dialogue, it becomes clear that the ambush, because of which Tommy served 15 years, was organized by Sonny himself.

In the mansion, a grand shootout begins. Tommy kills all of Sonny's people. On the roof, near the helicopter, he catches up to Lance and kills him (however, it is possible to kill Lance with a headshot before he runs to the roof). Back at the mansion, Tommy kills Sonny.

Epilogue

After Sonny's death, the Vercetti gang is no longer related to the Forelli family, and Tommy becomes one of the richest and most powerful people in the city.

  • In Game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas(mission "The Meat Business") CJ is forced to kill several people of the Sindacco family. At a factory where a gunfight is taking place, Carl is forced to defend Ken Rosenberg. During a gunfight, Ken can say "Hey, just like old times, huh, Tommy?" (rus. "Hey, just like the good old days, huh, Tommy?"), to which CJ replies "Who the fuck is Tommy?" (rus. "What the fuck is Tommy?").
  • Tommy Vercetti was voiced by Ray Liotta and animated by Jonathan Sayle.
  • In Game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the shelves of some stores, for example, the Zero electronics store, you can see boxes with figurines of the game's heroes, including Tommy Vercetti.
  • In the prehistory to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas- The Introduction Ken Rosenberg calls Tommy after drug addiction treatment, but he doesn't answer the phone.

In the second trailer for Grand Theft auto: Vice City Stories, at 53 seconds, you can see a man also dressed and very similar to Tommy, although at this time he is in prison.

  • In the cutscene after the mission "Keep Your Friends Close", Tommy aims an M-4 at Rosenberg with one hand. This indicates that Tommy is very strong physically.

Notes

Tommy Vercetti is the main character of the game. Worked for the Sonny Forelli gang in Liberty City. He was in prison for 15 years and was recently released. He arrived in Vice City on behalf of Sonny, who, of course, was not happy about the release of Vercetti. After the failure of the deal, he plans to settle in the city and sooner or later take control of all gangster groups.

Reward: $2.000

It's time to show this little town who's boss! We have five minutes to get to the North Point Mall and destroy as many storefronts as we can. It is best to use a weapon that can be fired on the run, such as the Mac-10. First, we spread the windows on the first floor, then we go up to the second and do the same. We don't care about the police.

After completing the mission, we get the right to purchase all available real estate in the city.

Reward: $4,000

One of the bars on the coast refuses to pay money for patronage. The owner claims that he already has a reliable "roof". Yes, you should teach them. The security is being cowardly. We have 5 minutes to get to their lair, otherwise they will have time to escape from there. We arrive, throw grenades at them or blow up cars from a shotgun. But we don’t go inside, because the guys are armed with good machine guns.

Aha! A couple of freaks still got to the motorcycles and are trying to escape. We get into the car, catch up, ram, and then we finish it on the spot.

Reward: $10.000

One of our subordinates failed to blow up a cafe in the North Point Mall. Now the police have blocked all approaches there, guards have been posted. Lance and I will have to disguise ourselves as police officers in order to get inside and personally complete what we started. To begin with, we go to the garage, marked on the radar with a purple dot. Now we need to get the attention of the police. We kill several passers-by so that we are assigned at least two "stars" of the wanted list, and we wait. As soon as the cops appear, we lure two into the garage and ... change clothes.

We get into the police car and drive to the mall. We go into a cafe and plant a bomb. We have five seconds to get out of there! We run outside, jump into the car and rush to the nearest repainting, as now not only the police, but also the FBI are looking for us.

This was Tommy's last assignment. Control over the city is established, and our mansion has a daily profit of $ 5,000.

At this point in the game, the most prudent would be to buy Sunshine Autos for $50,000. Races available after purchase pay for almost half the cost of the salon. In addition, if you collect all the cars from 4 lists, $9,000 will be generated there daily. We are going further - to carry out missions for the Malibu club.
