Not a pregnant woman, but a pregnant person. The term "pregnant people" has split the UK

Not "pregnant woman", but "pregnant person". It is this formulation that should replace the former one in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. This is required of the United Nations by the British Foreign Office. The authors of the scandalous initiative explained the need for changes by injustice towards transgender people who are not included in the category of "pregnant women". So far, nothing is known about the reaction of the UN, but even in the Kingdom itself, opinions are divided.

Information about the scandalous initiative of the British Foreign Office was leaked to the pages of the English press. The influential The Times came out with an article about a strange request from London - the United Nations proposed to replace the term "pregnant women" in official documents with a more neutral and impersonal "people". The country's Foreign Ministry diplomatically explains - this is dictated by respect for transgender people who can also be pregnant. Conservatives in the British Parliament immediately opposed such a shift in traditional foundations, reports .

"Is this what we've come to as a great nation? What are we paying civil servants to come up with this kind of chatter? Does the Foreign Office have nothing else to worry about? Yes, I will challenge anyone who goes out into the street and finds one a man who would call the term "pregnant woman" offensive, - outraged member of the British Parliament from the Conservative Party Philip Davies.

21-year-old Hayden Cross became the first man in the Kingdom to bear a child. And he did not hide his interesting position in front of the cameras. In fact, Hayden was a girl from birth, but at the age of 18 he declared himself a man and changed his documents. And in order to become a happy father, and at the same time a mother, I found a donor on social networks. The national medical system was against his pregnancy. Now transgender people in Britain are trying to equalize their rights with the rest. But feminists strongly disagree.

"This is not the inclusion of transgender people in society. This is direct censorship of women. The presence of female reproductive organs and understanding what it means for procreation does not imply any discrimination," says writer and public figure for women's rights Sarah Ditum.

Equalization to transgender people is kept in Germany, and in the literal sense. Lieutenant Colonel Anastasia became the commander of one of the battalions of the German army. Until the age of forty, she did not stand out from the male system, but then she began to accept hormonal preparations, and when the military uniform ceased to hide female forms, she unexpectedly received a promotion. Now she has 750 people under her command.

Transgender people have even made it to the U-turn of the exclusively male-oriented Playboy. The half-naked, it would seem, girl in the latest issue of an erotic magazine is actually a 24-year-old Frenchman of North African origin who has changed sex.

The initiative of the British Foreign Office was a continuation of the rhetoric of Theresa May herself. The Prime Minister has repeatedly urged the British to think about changing the law on gender recognition, allowing people to "self-assess" their gender. But the policy is seen by many as clumsy as the steps taken by Britain's first transgender ballerina, who until recently was a brutal race car driver.

The British Foreign Office has proposed amending the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, RIA Novosti reports. The document, based on the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, has been signed and ratified by 168 countries. The document says that a "pregnant woman" should be under special protection, she cannot be subjected to the death penalty. The UK opposes such a term as it "excludes transgender people who may also be pregnant". The British government is asking to replace the term “pregnant woman” in UN documents with “pregnant person” to include transgender people, the Times writes, citing a source in the country's Foreign Ministry.

Such an initiative did not find a response in British feminist circles. Writer Sarah Ditum called it "offensive, as it would deprive a woman of the right to call herself a woman on pain of being branded a bigot."

In addition, ministers are discussing possible changes to the law that would allow British subjects to confirm a sex change without providing medical evidence.

Earlier in January, the British Medical Association released a 14-page "Guide to Effective Communication" asking doctors not to refer to pregnant women as "moms-to-be" in order not to offend transgender people. In the same document, representatives of the medical community proposed the term "pregnant people."

Conservative MP Philip Davis called the initiative “absolutely ridiculous” at the time and added that “if you can’t name a pregnant woman future mother, then where is the world heading?

In the Church of England there is a fierce debate over the attitude towards transgender people. In June, the clergy announced a program for the adaptation of believers who have changed their gender. In particular, it was planned to rewrite the texts of divine services especially for them. "I hope we can make a powerful statement to show that we believe that transgender people love God," Church of England synod member Chris Newlands said. Instead, he noted that not all bishops support this theme. They argue that only God determines the gender of a person, so it cannot be changed.

Expert assessments

Alexander Prokhanov: The world is clearing up another gender news: the British have decided to no longer use the expression "pregnant woman", because there are individuals who carry both female and male features. Moreover, these individuals have the ability in a certain case to become pregnant. They are not women, but they are who knows what, nevertheless, their stomach begins to grow. Therefore, based on political correctness, tolerance and human rights, they decided to call pregnant women simply “people”. The concept of "pregnant person" is introduced - thank God that it is not a pregnant cow. You can laugh at this, you can be indignant at this, as I naturally do. However, behind this monstrous anti-conservative, immensely liberal environment - in which the boundaries between a man and a woman, between sexual promiscuity and sexual abstinence are blurred, ideas about norms, about a normal family, about a normal child disappear - in this liberal mess, which begins to boil in the European environment, there are other trends that should be taken more seriously.

There is a rapid intrusion into the biological environment, into biological organisms, into biological individuals. There is the construction of bacteria, the construction of algae, the construction of insects, the construction of animals and, finally, the construction of man. The latest human science allows (or very soon will allow) to create artificial people with the parameters that are included in the original dossier. Artificial intelligence makes it possible to betray to this organism, this constructed individual, the character of an emotionally and intellectually equipped person. For example, all kinds of composite materials make it possible to create skin membranes or a bone composition for this person. And the invasion of genetics is capable of creating individuals both male and female, as well as a mixed sex that cannot be defined as male or female. And also, apparently, something that generally goes beyond the boundaries of the sexes: a being devoid of sexual characteristics, endowed with some other, yet non-existent characteristics. For example, such signs that - forgive me this vulgarity - are able to become pregnant from the stools on which they sit and, in the end, give birth not to people, but to stools with which they have thus copulated. I exaggerate, but such a possibility exists.

Therefore, this news, which has now sounded and caused the indignation of feminists and the enthusiasm of free-thinking liberals, is a signal of the coming uncertainty in which today's man will be placed. How he will deal with this uncertainty is difficult to say, because there is freedom of research, freedom of unlimited experiment. People - especially rich people, rich people - are engaged in biotechnology in order to extend their lives indefinitely. And ideally - to become immortal. And in the creation of an immortal person, such signs as gender may turn out to be completely superfluous and unnecessary. Therefore it seems to me that modern people we must closely follow the progress of the digital spheres, the progress of modern biotechnologies, so that one day they do not cover people with a huge black cap and place them in the category of a minority, whose name is man.

I think the story will go like this. The revolution of the 21st century, in particular the biotechnological revolution, cannot be stopped, because behind this revolution there are gigantic money, gigantic forces, and in general, apparently, global trend. Research and fabrication cannot be stopped, no matter how much the church or the humanities are indignant. But at some point, the emergence of this new environment that denies the traditional person will cause a revolt. An uprising of mankind is inevitable ahead. How will this uprising end? Hard to say. But the uprising of man against biorobots, the uprising of man against anti-humanity, the uprising of man against superhumanity is inevitable. And it is necessary to prepare for this uprising, and then artists or preachers should lead this uprising - no matter how it, this uprising, ends. Maybe in this uprising all divinely revealed artists and shepherds will fall, but maybe it will lead to the return of the human at the cost of huge upheavals and sacrifices.

I'm in recent times I keep reading the Apocalypse more and more. The coming of the Kingdom of Heaven, the coming of a new Jerusalem, the coming of a new Earth and a new Heaven will be associated with a huge uprising, with huge catastrophes, with a huge, gigantic, perhaps the last revolution in this world.

Loud statements in defense of the rights of sexual minorities, which are made in the West by both minorities themselves and well-known politicians, have already become habitual. In Europe, the USA, Canada and other countries of the "democratic world", a whole range of laws and instructions in favor of the LGBT community has been adopted and is being polished - from the legalization of gay marriages and the adoption of children by same-sex couples to the corresponding teaching aids. Meanwhile, Britain surprised even the sophisticated: official London asked to replace the term “pregnant woman” with “pregnant ‘people’ not women” in UN documents so as not to offend transgender people, writes the Times.

"Pregnant people": London at the forefront of the "great sexual revolution"We must keep up with the times - apparently, the British government thought and proposed replacing the term "pregnant woman" with "pregnant person" in UN documents. It remains only to shrug and repeat - about the brave new world!

Such an initiative caused a negative reaction from feminists. “It is insulting that women should be denied the right to call themselves women for fear of being called bigots,” lamented writer Sarah Ditum. The British Foreign Office began to make excuses - they say that no one writes off pregnant women.

This is the highlight. The point is not that the British tried to put on the honorary jersey of the leader in the global race for politically correct values. The initiative of the official authorities and the reaction of the feminists showed the presence of deep contradictions in the liberal environment: its representatives have different understandings of what they, the liberals, should strive for. It became clear that the ideologists and theorists of gender freedom had completely confused their followers. Or because these followers do not know anything about the road they are on. Or due to the fact that the fantasy of political correctness theorists is so transcendent that it can cloud even the clearest mind, which we will demonstrate a little later.

Now about everything in order. So, the British Foreign Office proposed amending the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of the UN, writing down the above term "pregnant person". This document obliges the signatory countries (there are 168 of them) to comply with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948.

In the UK itself, transgender people are already equal in rights with everyone who nature has given the opportunity to give birth, that is, with women. Thus, the British Medical Association instructs doctors not to call pregnant women "mothers-to-be" so as not to offend transgender people. Now the UK is trying to instill its experience around the world.

For those who are behind the times, it is worth explaining. A transgender is a person who has changed gender. Moreover, a sex change does not necessarily involve a surgical operation. Suffice it to say that you feel, for example, not a woman, but a man, even if you were born a woman. And vice versa. What is important, the "natural" gender does not play any role here at all. Two "natural" sexes, according to supporters of this view of the world, are only two genders among a great many other genders. You can assign any gender to yourself, depending on who you feel you are. This is the whole point of new trends in the West, where, according to various sources, there are up to 40 of these same genders.

These are not taken as astronauts. Trump defended the army from transgender peopleThe President of the United States showed his will. Now they don’t even have a leg like that in the army, and they won’t fly into space. There is no need for the troops to have extra worries and expenses. Traditional values and concern for America.

As for the specific requirement of the UK, it is clear that we are talking about individuals who were born women and, naturally, can give birth to children, but do not want to be called women and mothers, but want to be called men or something else (regardless of whether they produced sex reassignment surgery or not).

Let's make a small digression. The British are not alone in their desire to establish "gender freedom". This was the cornerstone of the policy of the Barack Obama administration, who at the end of his presidency pushed through the regulation approved by the US Department of Justice and the US Department of Education on "non-discrimination on the basis of gender identity." This document obliges the administrations of secondary schools to equip transgender toilets and ensure other rights of transgender people. For example, if a boy student declares that he is a girl, then teachers are obliged to give him the right to use the locker room and shower for girls, and so on.

The defense of gender freedom in the West has gone very far, and on all fronts. And the most important of these directions is the change in the consciousness and conceptual apparatus of the masses. Leading American news agency The Associated Press, in its regularly updated grammar guide Associated Press Stylebook, which, according to The Washington Post, is "the main grammatical judge for journalists around the world," introduced a new pronoun they (something like "it " in the singular, although originally they means "they"). This pronoun, in its new incarnation, "is intended to refer to people who do not identify themselves as he or she." The related languages Norwegian, Swedish and Danish have also recently introduced a similar "neutral" pronoun hen instead of han and hun ("he" and "she"), respectively.

But back to the conflict within the liberal community, in particular between feminists and LGBT value-drivers among British officials. The fact is that it was feminists who stood at the origins of the current freedoms for sexual minorities. If the theorists of feminism, who introduced the concept of “gender” into the mass consciousness, replacing the concept of “gender” with it, only theorized on this topic in the 80s of the last century, today their theory has become a gender ideology that formed the basis of the entire Western world order. This is evidenced by the current legally enshrined gender freedom in the West and, of course, the latest trick of the British Foreign Office.

Experts familiar with the issue know that the official author of gender ideology is the American feminist Judith Butler. Her book "Gender Trouble: Feminism and Identity Undermining" is widely known (Butler Judith. Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity / Judith Butler // Routledge, 1990, 1999), which is considered the foundational work of gender theory. J. Butler does not hide his goal, the phrase in the title of the book - "undermining identity" - speaks for itself. In this book, J. Butler writes about the need to "destroy the interaction of the sexes" and believes that heterosexuality in people is forcibly brought up by various external circumstances, and therefore this "compulsory heterosexuality" must be destroyed.

Among the theorists - the founders of the current gender freedom is the feminist Shulamith Firestone, who wrote the book "The Dialectic of Sex: The Case for a Feminist Revolution". She states, in part: “The ultimate goal of the feminist revolution, unlike the first wave of the feminist movement, should be the elimination not only of male privilege, but also of the very division into sexes: genital differences between people will no longer have cultural significance.<…>Procreation by one sex for the benefit of both will be replaced by artificial reproduction" (Firestone Shulamith. The Dialectic of Sex: The Case for Feminist Revolution / Shulamith Firestone // William Morrow and Company Inc., 1970).

The feminist Alison Jagger, with her book Feminist Politics and Human Nature, also belongs to this "pleiad". We read in her: "It must be remembered that the final transformation of human nature, which socialist feminists aspire to, goes beyond the liberal concept of psychological androgyny and implies the possibility of transforming the "physical" capabilities of a person, some of which have hitherto been considered biologically inherent only to one sex. . This transformation may even include the ability to fertilize, breastfeed and become pregnant, so that, for example, one woman can fertilize another, men and women who have not given birth can produce milk, and a fertilized egg can be transplanted into the body of a woman or even a man. (Jaggar Alison. Feminist Politics and Human Nature / Jaggar Alison // Totowa, NJ: Rowman & Allanheld, 1983).

Here it is - a riot of fantasy, which I spoke about above and which "theoretically" justifies the tilt of Western society towards the absolutization of LGBT values. However, modern feminists, apparently, do not suspect this and therefore throw stones at their own garden.

Let them fight and argue there, at home. Without us. And yet it is worth asking the question: if the UN responds to the initiative of Great Britain, then in Russia the concept of "mother" can also be banned?

On December 19, 2013, President Putin made an encouraging statement: “It is important for me to protect our population from some quasi-values that are very difficult for our citizens, our population to perceive. The question is not to criticize someone. The question is to protect us from the rather aggressive behavior of some social groups who, in my opinion, do not just live as they want, but impose their point of view quite aggressively on other people and in other countries."

Let me add: and from the aggressive behavior of some states.

Pregnancy is a physiological process during which a new human body resulting from fertilization.

Pregnancy in women lasts on average 280 days(40 weeks, which corresponds to 9 calendar months or 10 lunar months). Pregnancy is also usually divided into 3 trimesters of 3 calendar months each.

Signs of early pregnancy

AT early dates the diagnosis of pregnancy is established on the basis of doubtful and probable signs.

Doubtful signs of pregnancy- various kinds of subjective sensations, as well as objectively determined changes in the body, outside the internal genital organs: taste whims, changes in olfactory sensations, easy fatigue, drowsiness, pigmentation of the skin on the face, along the white line of the abdomen, nipples and areola.

Possible signs of pregnancy- objective signs from the genitals, mammary glands and when setting up biological reactions to pregnancy. These include: the cessation of menstruation in women of childbearing age, an increase in the mammary glands and the appearance of colostrum when squeezed out of the nipples, cyanosis of the mucous membrane of the vagina and cervix, a change in the shape and consistency of the uterus, an increase in its size.

You can first verify the presence of pregnancy at home using a rapid test for the content of the hormone chorionic gonadotropin in the urine of a woman (the test is carried out from the first day of delaying the next menstruation).

Confirm the fact of pregnancy allows.

Changes in the body of a pregnant woman

Numerous and complex changes occur in a woman's body during pregnancy. These physiological changes create conditions for intrauterine development of the fetus, prepare the woman's body for childbirth and breastfeeding newborn. Menstruation stops, mammary glands increase in volume, nipples darken.

Many pregnant women in the first trimester experience nausea, sometimes vomiting - these symptoms are commonly called. Weakness, drowsiness, heartburn, drooling, changes in taste, and frequent urination often occur. These disturbances of well-being are characteristic of a healthy and normal pregnancy.

Particularly large changes occur in the female genital organs. The uterus increases with each, the blood supply to the internal and external genital organs increases. The tissues swell, acquire elasticity, which contributes to their better stretching during childbirth. In the mammary glands, the number and volume of glandular lobules increase, their blood supply increases, they become tense, from the nipples. There is a sharp increase in the amount of gonadotropic hormones, as well as estrogens and progesterone, produced first by the corpus luteum (a temporary gland formed at the site of the follicle from which the mature egg came out) and then. Hormones secreted by the corpus luteum (progesterone and, to a lesser extent, estrogens) contribute to the creation of conditions for the proper development of pregnancy. The corpus luteum undergoes reverse development after the fourth month in connection with the formation of the hormonal function of the placenta.

For the management of pregnancy, it is necessary (3-4 weeks after the delay of menstruation), where the doctor conducts an examination and examination of the external and internal genital organs, and, if necessary, additional examinations are prescribed.

Sex organs during pregnancy

Uterus. During pregnancy, the size, shape, position, consistency and reactivity (excitability) of the uterus changes. The uterus gradually enlarges throughout pregnancy. The increase in the uterus occurs mainly due to hypertrophy of the muscle fibers of the uterus; at the same time, there is a reproduction of muscle fibers, the growth of newly formed muscle elements of the mesh-fibrous and argyrophilic "frame" of the uterus.

The uterus is not only a fetal place that protects the fetus from adverse external influences, but also a metabolic organ that provides the fetus with enzymes, complex compounds necessary for the plastic processes of a rapidly developing fetus.

Vagina during pregnancy, it lengthens, expands, the folds of the mucous membrane protrude sharper. The external genitalia loosen during pregnancy.

Lifestyle of a pregnant woman, regimen, nutrition and hygiene

The developing fetus receives all the necessary nutrients from the mother. The well-being of the fetus depends entirely on the health of the mother, the conditions of her work, rest, the state of the nervous and endocrine systems.

Pregnant women are exempted from night duty, heavy physical work, work associated with body vibration or adverse effects on the body of chemical agents. substances. During pregnancy, sudden movements, heavy lifting and significant fatigue should be avoided. A pregnant woman needs to sleep at least 8 hours a day. Walking before bed is recommended.

A pregnant woman must be carefully protected from infectious diseases that pose a particular danger to the body of the pregnant woman and the fetus.

During pregnancy, it is necessary to carefully monitor the cleanliness of the skin. The cleanliness of the skin contributes to the removal of metabolic products harmful to the body with sweat.

A pregnant woman should wash her external genitalia twice a day with warm water and soap. Douching during pregnancy should be administered with great caution.

During pregnancy, you should carefully monitor the condition of the oral cavity and produce the necessary.

The mammary glands should be washed daily with warm water and soap and wiped with a towel. These methods prevent cracked nipples and mastitis. If, then they should be massaged.

maternity clothes should be comfortable and free: you should not wear tightening belts, tight bras, etc. In the second half of pregnancy, it is recommended to wear a bandage that should support the stomach, but not squeeze it.

A pregnant woman should wear shoes with low heels.
