Unfortunately, mussels in our country have not received proper distribution, such as shrimp. And in vain, because their meat has not only a pleasant delicate taste, high nutritional value, but also highly effective medicinal properties. They are useful for improving metabolism, stimulating the process of hematopoiesis, lowering cholesterol levels in the blood, increasing overall tone and strengthening immunity.

Also, mussel meat is distinguished by a high content of minerals, various micro and macro elements - more than thirty. Mussels contain a large amount of proteins - they are superior in protein content to meat and fish. Moreover, mussels are an excellent antioxidant, since they contain vitamin E, as well as vitamins B and D, trace elements and biologically active substances.

Salad with mussels

Of course, you can use mayonnaise as a quick, banal dressing for such a salad, but it will only burden this dish, but a fragrant home-made dressing from vegetable oil and lemon juice or apple cider vinegar will come in handy. This sauce or dressing can give your salad a special taste.

Ingredients:

  • Mussels - 300-350 grams,
  • Seaweed - 1 can,

  • Lemon - half
  • White wine - 3-4 tablespoons,
  • Garlic 1-2 cloves (optional)
  • Greens - optional
  • Olive oil 3-4 tablespoons

We put the eggs on the stove to boil.

We cut the onion into half rings, and marinate in apple cider vinegar, two tablespoons was enough for me. Marinate for about thirty minutes.

While the eggs are being cooked and the onions are marinating, we take the mussels (I have frozen ones), rinse running water let the water drain.

Take a frying pan and put it on the stove to heat up. Mussels without defrosting, spread on a hot pan and lightly fry without oil, while they give juice. When all the liquid has evaporated, you need to add wine and darken them again. If there is no wine, you can add a little water with lemon juice. How long to cook peeled mussels without wings? The total cooking time for mussels is five minutes.

Remove the cooked mussels from the stove and let them cool. As soon as the mussels have cooled, we remove the hairs and remnants of the valves in the mussels.
Peel the eggs and cut into cubes.
We open a jar of seaweed, and put it on a plate, making sure that sea sand does not come across. Here we spread the mussels, chopped egg. Drain the vinegar from the onion, add to the salad. Squeeze the garlic and mix everything.

We season the mussel salad with olive oil, lemon juice, taste, if necessary, salt. Salt is a great substitute for soy sauce. Soy sauce combined with lemon juice will give the salad an unforgettable taste.

The dressing can be prepared separately. Combine in a small bowl olive oil, lemon juice and garlic, mix well, add to.

Seafood has firmly entered our menu, more precisely, the menu of many people who try to eat right, but at the same time not to the detriment of the taste characteristics of ready-made dishes. So on these holidays, I decided to make a small contribution to our menu and prepared a salad, which I called “Sea of ​​Taste”. Why such a name? Yes, because in a salad they perfectly coexist crab sticks, smoked mussels, squid and cheese, which fit perfectly into this marine brotherhood. But chicken eggs brought some connection to this salad, or to be more precise, helped to connect all the ingredients together. Anyway, write, it's time to cook and start tasting.

In order to prepare a seafood salad with crab sticks, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Smoked mussels in oil - 1 jar,
  • canned squid - 1 jar,
  • Crab sticks 6 - 8 pieces,
  • Cheese (hard) - 100 grams,
  • Onion - 2 heads,
  • Chicken eggs 2 - 3 pieces,
  • Vegetable oil - 5 tbsp. spoons
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste.

    Recipe for salad with mussels, squid and crab sticks "Sea of ​​Taste"

First, let's boil the eggs. Be sure to add salt to the water when boiling eggs. Salt makes boiled eggs easy to peel. Boiled eggs need to be poured cold water and cool, then clean. For my salad, I took canned mussels and squid.

So, we take out the mussels from the oil (we do not pour out the oil, it will come in handy in the future) and transfer it to a deep bowl. We also send squids ready for use there. If necessary, cut the squid into small pieces or chop into strips. Crab sticks must first be thawed, then cut into thin long strips. We shift the mussels, squids and crab sticks into a common bowl.

Boiled eggs need to be chopped into cubes and sent to a delicious sea cocktail.

Then we will need to peel the onion and cut it into super thin strips, I almost got it. Then heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and heat it up. Next, send the onion to the pan and simmer it until transparent, do not fry. Pour the onion with oil to the already prepared ingredients.

Now you will need to grate the cheese on a coarse grater and also send it to a common bowl. It's time to add salt and black pepper, all to taste.

And we will refuel the salad with oil, which remained in the jar, from where we took out the smoked mussels. If you don't like the idea of ​​dressing your salad with this smoky butter, then use mayonnaise. So, we just have to mix the salad and put it in a salad bowl. Either a slide on a dish, or using a special ring.

I garnished the salad a little with fresh herbs, which gave it freshness.

Cooking seaweed salad with mussels

1. Peel the carrots, wash them and, using a paring knife, cut them into wide, thin strips. Season with salt, lightly knead with your hands, stirring, and leave for half an hour. Then add ground coriander, black pepper and crushed garlic. Stir again.

2. In a small bowl, mix vegetable oil with vinegar and pour into chopped carrots, sprinkle red pepper on top and leave to infuse for 2 hours.

3. Peel and cut into strips the parsley root and celery. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.

4. Remove the mussels from a jar or other package, drain the oil and dry on a paper towel.

5. In a large salad bowl, put seaweed, chopped white roots, pickled strips of carrots, mussels, grated cheese. Wash, dry and finely chop three types of greens and add to a salad bowl. Mix all ingredients.

6. Prepare dressing by mixing soy sauce with vegetable oil. Pour dressing over salad and toss gently again.
